Here in mid-October the Fall color along the Blue Ridge Parkway is nearing peak in many locations.

Here in late September, we are beginning to see some of the telltale signs of Fall. The days are getting shorter, the mornings cooler, and a few of the trees are starting to get a hint of Fall color.

If you're still looking for great color on the Parkway, you should find it in the lower elevations.

Mount Pisgah is peaking right now with fall color, and the Boone / Blowing Rock area is showing nicely, too.

Vibrant fall colors can be found in many areas of the Parkway right now.

Bass Lake is displaying dramatic color right now.

Higher elevations in the south on the Parkway may peak first weekend of October.

Signs of fall color are beginning to show all along the Blue Ridge Parkway along with beautiful displays of wildflowers.

In early fall blooms are still abundant and certain trees are beginning to indicate the change to fall color.

For many the late summer and early fall blooms are the favorites for visitors, so visit the Parkway and decide for yourself.
