We'll be the first to admit that we LOVE Jesus, but also struggle with loving ourselves. In the gospels, we are taught the importance of dying to self in order to follow Christ - eg Luke 14:26, Matthew 10:37, John 12:25 - so quite clearly this is something Jesus knew we would struggle with! When you realise the ongoing war that we have been born into, you realise why it's important to put on the armour of God DAILY. The devil is on the attack and his strategy is to deceive and destroy you and me. Persecution is one of his forms of doing this. No one wants pain, or hurt or any type of discomfort and the devil knows this! In this episode we discuss God's love for His children, His protection and our role in also showing love and care for each other - even in times of trials and tribulation. This quarter not only will we explore what this means, we will also learn how it began AND how it ends. The Great Controversy is a fight between good and evil, and throughout this quarter we want you to ask yourself this question, the big question - Which Side Are You Learning On? It's the last lesson of the quarter but it isn't the last time you can study psalms (God willing). We've learnt a lot of lessons centred around the 5 books in Psalms - from poems of praise, thanksgiving, victory all the way to laments - psalms provide a true guide of life's ups and downs. As we close the quarter, we challenge you to pick chapters for different circumstances in life, not just for you but also to encourage others, meditate on these and pray over them!
