Views from my Reality
Views from my Reality
Angela M Bamford
Straight forward views from my reality. We connect current and historic as well as spiritual and views from my personal experiences as well as creditable references. We talk about everything that affects me mentally and physically. I am more than a conqueror from many forms of abuse and mental disabilities. I am well-traveled and have many different experiences from working with grassroots organizations, prison, homeless, civil activism, domestic violence, single parenting, grand, and great grandparenting, pastoring, spiritual counseling, substance abuse, and recovery.
LOOKING TO THE HILLS
When I have so much struggle to get a message out, it is usually because it is a word of encouragement that is going to help someone.  I pray that you are blessed and delivered.  Please share because you don't know what someone is going through or how it will help them.  This message is entitled "Looking to the Hills," from which cometh our help is from Psalms 121.

I JUST CAN'T
This episode is a poem that I wrote after seeing the many abuses and injustices of society that we deal with on a daily basis.  I was fed up and wanted to scream and I wondered was I alone in my disdain or did others see what I saw and chose to quietly remain.  The poem is entitled I Just Can't and I have performed it many times to different audience and I hope that you will enjoy and share.  This poem is from my book My Inner City Blues; Views from My Reality which available on lulu.com or angelamwaters.com or worldwide where books are sold.  Please enjoy and leave your feedback, I would love to hear from you.  Please Subscribe and Share and I will share more.  Thank you.

MY COUNTRY TIS OF THEE
I am grateful for the conviction of Derek Chauvin for it is a small step towards having some form of Justice here in America for Americans of African decent and other people who look like me.  This poem is from my book My Inner City Blues, Views from My Reality, which is available on lulu.com and amazon, entitled My Country Tis of Thee.  I hope you will enjoy and share.  As many of my poems are written from my viewpoint and personal experiences, this poem was inspired when I was a Foster Grandparent at Bridgeview Elementary School, in South Charleston, WV.  I would have to sit behind a partition every day because I did not want to pledge Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America (which is another poem I may do later).  It pained me to see the indoctrination that the young people were receiving and how it was implanting a false reality into their minds which will be met with reality in a few short moments.  I knew oh too well from waiting on the bus and people riding by calling me the N-Word, and I was thankful that that was all that they did, because I may not be here to tell the story, and the sad reality is that no one may have ever known.  Please Share and leave a comment.  I am also giving books away, just leave a comment and tell me how you like the poems.  Thank you for listening.  You may contact me at [email protected]

SACRIFICE
Today's episode is a poem from my book A Long Journey, a collection of poetic homilies which is available on Lulu.com or Amazon.  The poem was written many years ago at the request of Shirley Rice Hooper, who told me about Jesus and it made sense.  She also encouraged me to put the whole Bible into a poem.  This is what I came up with from my understanding as a young Christian.  I would also like to invite you to hear more during a global conference this Easter weekend on Zoom, called Witnesses at the Cross.  It will be held at 10am Friday and Saturday EST which is 3pm UK time and 11am Sunday, 4pm UK.  Meeting ID: 820 2918 9110 and the Passcode: 950247.  Please feel free to contact me at [email protected] for more information.  I pray that you enjoy this poem and please share it with others.

WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE
1 Peter 3:15 provides our thought provoking message for today.  This message is to inspire and to get you to think about what you believe.  What we believe will determine where we spend eternity and how we live our lives today.  We stand on what we believe and if we don't stand for something, we will fall, for anything!  With the many things that occupy our time on a daily bases we may want to consider our belief system and ways to improve or enjoy it fully.  I pray that this message is a blessing and if it is, be kind and bless someone else.

Sacrificing to the Lord
As the new year begins many of us are fasting to get a clear understanding of our direction, purpose, and plan that we believe God has called us to have.  This message is about sacrifices that are pleasing to God.  We look at what, when, who, and how sacrifices that are pleasing to God are done from a Biblical perspective.  An original poem of Sacrifice from my book A Long Journey A  Collection of Poetic Homilies, which is available on Amazon and Lulu.com is shared also.  For more information about me please visit my website at angelabamford.com or email me at [email protected].  If you have subjects that you would like for me to address or comments please contact me.  Thank you and have a blessed and prosperous new year.

DON'T KEEP SILENT
This message is about speaking up and sharing the Good News that God sent Jesus to die for us and if we keep that life-saving, life-changing message for ourselves and not share we will be guilty of watching our brothers and sisters die without hope.  When, where, how, and more are shared.    There is much scripture included and I pray that this will help someone along life's journey.   If you have comments or questions, or suggestions to what you would like me to address, please feel free to contact me at [email protected].  Thank you for listening.  Be Blessed.
