We end this season with an epic episode on musicians in movies. Our wonderful returning guests are Heather Drain and Carmelita Valdez McKoy. We all love music and movies so why not talk about some of our favorite times that feature both. Initially we each were going to bring 5 movie moments that featured musicians but there are TOO MANY! For this special episode we have not one but two incredible guests! Dakota Noot and Christopher Velasco are hosts of the Two In The Pinku Podcast. Together they are watching and contextualizing the pinku (independent low budget adult films from Japan) genre. They are both individually artistic and talented but together you have an erotic cinema power couple! (Hopefully they are OK with that title. They are also married!) That's right! We are going back to the 80's animation toy box with a long overdue (I mean, is it?) revisit to the animated film that re-united two siblings amidst the various horrors of an insane universe. It's He-Man and She Ra: The Secret Of The Sword! What is the secret? Possibly LSD. But seriously folks, this is a great episode due to the guests. Shawn Robare is a wonderful human with a vast knowledge of many things and I love to showcase some aspects of his greatness whenever possible. JL is one of my friends from way back.
