Dr. Vikas Tomar introduces composite materials and their application in todays technology including it’s aeronautical applications in commercial fields like new Boeing 787 dreamliners.  He continues his discussion of structures and composites by introducing his more recent research that concentrates on the study of deep sea shrimp.  He explains how findings of deep sea shrimps protective structure evolution to high temperatures and pressures can give us a glimpse into future of microstructures and composite designs.  Dr. Tomar ends the interview by inspiring us with his story of perseverance and sharing his advice.
