Varta in Hindi means a dialogue on a subject with a person or a group of people. But this is more than that, it certainly encompasses more territory than the word interview. I think Varta is apt for the long format of the podcast, where you can dwell upon the inner subtleties and sub-currents of an individual to know what does it take to make a difference in a field or society in which one excels, it helps identify that connective tissue. The journey is going to be incredible and I hope the listeners get an insight into the people and get directions if not solutions from those conversations. I believe there will be plenty of lighter moments too! But since we are heavily into the Covid-19 period, it starts with a grim note, but I am sure as the whole year has its different seasons, this autumn of the pandemic will also pass!
