I will be honest, I am talking to people who are white...It may be uncomfortable for some, while spurring others on to come alongside people of color in our fight against racism and white supremacy. Season 2! Episode 1! IT’S GOIN’ DIINNNE!!! What pleasure it is to crank the podcast back up after a four month hiatus. Hopefully, this episode will kick season two off right! After spending nearly four years in Washington state, there was a lot that my family and I experienced. Most of it was good and very fruitful, but unfortunately, overt and covert racism is a part of our story. Talking about racism can be a tense and complex task; but, talking to children about racism can be even more daunting. In this episode, I share a few stories--blended with a few personal tips--regarding the challenge of discussing race relations with kiddos. Please know that I AM NOT saying that it's my way or the highway! This IS NOT meant to be a pejorative monologue! I'm only sharing MY personal experience as I've worked to be a reconciler who speaks truth, promotes unity, petitions for empathy, and affirms the God-invested value of Blackness (which is often devalued). I hope that this episode is helpful, along with being an equitable plea for us to teach our children in a manner of truth... 

I’m rolling out the Black carpet for my brother from another mother, Mr. Kyle Wimbish. My bro K.Dub is a stand-up guy, a father, and a husband. I’m excited about our conversation because every time we chop it up, there is so much substance to be gleaned! Similar to myself, Kyle is a transplanted resident of the Evergreen State of Washington. In other words, we’re not originally from Washington, but we moved to the state; which has many impactful implications—more than some may think. With this in mind, the premise of our conversation will focus on living in the Pacific Northwest region (PNW) as Black men, while navigating the nuances that exist.
