During this episode, as I unpack allyship in the space of racial justice, I share principles and practical steps that anyone can take. With the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "Letter from a Birmingham Jail" as the backdrop, the goal is to emphasize why having white brothers and sisters who are allies is vital.
I will be honest, I am talking to people who are white...It may be uncomfortable for some, while spurring others on to come alongside people of color in our fight against racism and white supremacy. My intent isn't to condemn anyone, but through accountability, this is my plea for ethnic partnerships. Put on your seat belt, this may be a bumpy ride!

Season 2! Episode 1! IT’S GOIN’ DIINNNE!!! What pleasure it is to crank the podcast back up after a four month hiatus. Hopefully, this episode will kick season two off right!
After spending nearly four years in Washington state, there was a lot that my family and I experienced. Most of it was good and very fruitful, but unfortunately, overt and covert racism is a part of our story.
In this episode, I get a little transparent by sharing my personal reflections on the racism that I experienced in the Pacific Northwest. DON’T TRIP! I’m going to close with how God made all of it work for my good. LET’S GO!!!

Talking about racism can be a tense and complex task; but, talking to children about racism can be even more daunting. In this episode, I share a few stories--blended with a few personal tips--regarding the challenge of discussing race relations with kiddos.
Please know that I AM NOT saying that it's my way or the highway! This IS NOT meant to be a pejorative monologue! I'm only sharing MY personal experience as I've worked to be a reconciler who speaks truth, promotes unity, petitions for empathy, and affirms the God-invested value of Blackness (which is often devalued).
I hope that this episode is helpful, along with being an equitable plea for us to teach our children in a manner of truth...

I’m rolling out the Black carpet for my brother from another mother, Mr. Kyle Wimbish. My bro K.Dub is a stand-up guy, a father, and a husband. I’m excited about our conversation because every time we chop it up, there is so much substance to be gleaned!
Similar to myself, Kyle is a transplanted resident of the Evergreen State of Washington. In other words, we’re not originally from Washington, but we moved to the state; which has many impactful implications—more than some may think.
With this in mind, the premise of our conversation will focus on living in the Pacific Northwest region (PNW) as Black men, while navigating the nuances that exist.

I hope this episode will bless you as much as it’s going to bless me! I say that because every time I talk to my Sis Mrs. Jiquanda Nelson, I’m always encouraged and inspired. She’s the reason why I started this podcast! Jiquanda is my Sista and a fellow advocate for racial justice.
What makes her flex even harder with the Black Girl Magic is that she’s a prolific diversity, equity & inclusion practitioner! Take a listen as I roll out the Black carpet for Jiquanda, and take on a posture of learning as we discuss the importance of DEI!

On this episode, I’ll be taking questions from listeners and answering them to the best of my ability. As the Southern hip-hop artists would say, I’m going “off the dome”! LET’S GOOOO!
