Is there such a thing a ‘free’ training?You’d think the North East would be biting our hands off, er no the Geordies are a little sceptical, we can’t possibly be offering them free training (or fully funded as we have to call it)?!  Yes we are, it’s been paid for by a European Social Fund.Join the partners in the North East Workforce Skills Programme who have an ESF project, worth nearly £15 million, to deliver training to upskill and support 17560 employed participants in Tyne and Wear and Northumberland by September 2023.There challenge to convince businesses that this training offer is legit!Our partners include: University of Sunderland Access Training Code MTC Newcastle College Seta TDR Training and ApprenticeshipsThis partnership is possibly a little unusual - seven training providers working collaboratively to deliver an ESF project. And we mean collaboratively, we all actually get on and genuinely want to provide the best training for each business and yes that can mean giving a lead to another partner.Join Shona McCreedy, North East Workforce Skills Programme Project Lead and her various guests to find out what courses are available, who the training providers are and lots more but most importantly having a laugh along the way.
