In this week John and Trish watch and discuss one of the earliest fan-disliked  episodes of Supernatural: Season One, Episode 8: “Bugs.” Of note in this discussion is the terrible Day’s Inn in Huntington, WV, how fun it is stalking the McElroy Brothers, and the use of Native American Curse tropes in American horror.

John and Trish are digging back into the top ten horror films listed on IMDB! This time they’re watching Mia Farrow’s amazing film Rosemary’s Baby. Of note are discussions of gaslighting, vacation podcasting, and whether it’s appropriate to do a very late term abortion when one gives birth to the spawn of Satan.

John and Trish are smoking! Well, there’s a lot of smoke from the Ontario wildfires in the Upper Peninsula. The sky is orange and the episode is Supernatural, Season One, Episode 7: Hook Man. Of particular interest in this episode is: ghost irony, the melting point of silver, and clunky writing.

This week John is introducing Trish to one of his favorite movies, Kevin Smith’s 2011 “Red State.” This film is half creepy cult murder and half shady government murders. Throats are scratchy from the smoke from the Ontario wildfires that has made its way across the lake to the Upper Peninsula.

This week Trish and John are watching “Skin,” the 6th episode EVER of Supernatural. This episode introduces us to gross skin ailments, shapeshifter, and Dean’s becoming a wanted murderer. There’s also a special shoutout to Bisbee, Arizona, home of Detective Dean Winchester!
