Hi everyone, this will be our last episode of season 1! We hope you understand this sudden ending but we have realized over the course of making this podcast what types of conversations and guests we want to bring forward into our next season. Our podcast is still going to center around the entertainment industry but the content is shifting to something that is more relevant in how we see the world today. In today’s episode we’re talking to the amazingly talented script supervisor Kat Gorospe! Based in Chicago, Kat found her passion as a scripty after attending Columbia College Chicago. She recently joined the Union and has been working on television, film, and commercial sets. Kat is also interning for Filmscape Chicago where she works under their social media department. This week Nathan speaks with his amazing co-host Maggie Sotter on her experience working in Los Angeles as a First Assistant Director, Stage Manager, and Documentarian. Growing up in the Bay Area, Maggie found a passion for documentary work that eventually led her to Assistant Direct for narrative cinema. She has been working freelance as a PA, Stage Manager, and within the AD department since moving to Los Angeles. Maggie is also active in social justice through her work in Doc film making and talks to us about active allyship and Anti-Racisim. We’ll be asking about her experience as a Freelancer, First Assistant Director, and her passion for active alliship.

This week Maggie speaks with fellow host, the amazing Nathan Marquez, on his industry story. Growing up In Chicago, Nathan had a passion for Journalism and Directing For Film. After College, he Moved to Los Angeles in early 2018 and has been working as a successful freelance PA and Stage Manager. Active in social justice, Nathan volunteers for organizations such as Freedom For Immigrants and CORE. Recently, he has been taking advantage of Social Media to Direct and Create, using these experiences in social justice to inspire his films and documentaries. This week we'll talk to him about his creative journey from freelancing to creating for the small screen and everything in between!

The murder of George Floyd has lead to the biggest civil rights movement in the history of the world. Police brutality in this country has lead to generations of suffering and systemic racism since the freedom of enslaved africans in 1865. Nikki, Nathan, and I are roommates and wanted to have a conversation on the importance of anti-racism and active alliship for BIPOC and POC peoples. Sometimes these conversations about race can seem uncomfortable, but these are necessary conversations to have in your home, even ours. In this episode we speak with Charissa Kiefer, stylist and industry mama based in Los Angeles. Starting at a young age, Charissa got her first styling job for Guess when she was only 20 years old. In this episode we speak with Felicity Pickering, a freelance Australian Writer/Director based in Los Angeles.
