"Don't Worry It's Fine." This is what Sital Shah kept hearing from family, friends, and doctors when they found something interesting on her mammogram. Needless to say, it wasn't fine and she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was diagnosed with DCIS, Stage 0 Breast Cancer. Did you know that if you are going to be diagnosed with breast cancer this is the best one! (Okay, did you sense the sarcasm?) I sit down in conversation with Mr. Davidson. Who is Mr. Davidson you ask? Well, I grew up across the street from Mr. Davidson and his son was one of my closest friends. This is where the story gets interesting. There were 3 men in our neighborhood all named Richard (aka: Dick) and they all were diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Two of them passed away (including my dad) and one has been a survivor for 7 years.I talk with Mr. Davidson about his journey and what he thinks helped him to be a PC survivor for 7 years and at the ripe old age of 83.This episode was difficult for me as I lost my father 10 years ago to this disease and I know how much Mr. Davidson misses him, as you will hear him refer to him as Dickey Neumann.I do have more questions. How could 3 men within 3 blocks of each other get Pancreatic Cancer? This boggles me and I want to know more. For now take a listen to this podcast and stop by my website for a quick blog about Mr. Davidson as I talked further with his daughter Debby.www.TamiNeumann.comFollow me on Instagram: @NeuTamAnd as always I am featured on the Whole Care Network.www.WholeCareNetwork.com//unscripted-life-improvised/Looking for some help with Pancreatic Cancer?Check Out Project Purple - They help in so many ways!www.projectpurple.org
