Encompass' home health division, Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, successfully debuted on the public markets this week under the ticker 'EHAB' after announcing spin-off plans in January, 2022.Enhabit is the 4th largest home health player and the 12th largest hospice player sitting alongside the likes of other national operators like Amedisys, LHC Group, AccentCare, and Kindred. UnitedHealth to Buy Home-Health Firm LHC Group for $5.4 Billion (all cash deal).Under the deal, UnitedHealth would pay about $170 a share for LHC, which had about $2.2 billion in revenue last year and includes hospice, long-term-care hospitals and other home-based services, in addition to home health.
