Incredibly informative and fun
Life sometimes takes strange paths and meetings. I met John while sitting on a park bench in NYC. Somehow we starting chatting, connecting over Scottish adventures and travel. I’m heading to the Highlands soon, and he has tremendous knowledge on the subject. His podcast is fantastic, a must for anyone heading on holiday to Scotland.

Wonderful!
Vivid, informative and compelling commentary. Great sound quality and John has a fabulous voice. His telling of the locations I have been are very accurate. More episodes, please. With love from an Urquhart in Northern California ♥️

A visual tour of Scotland in you imagination
John Harbour does an amazing job of painting pictures of Scotland in your mind. He is an incredible storyteller who goes behind the mythology to share the history and legends of Scotland. It is so much more than a travel guide, I just wish the podcast had been available before our trip last year. I also love the periodic updates on the news in Scotland through John’s wit and humor. Enjoy!

Like Having a Friend in Scotland
In preparation for a vacation in Scotland, I was looking for podcasts to learn more about the people and country. This podcast is like having a kind and thoughtful Scottish friend introduce you to the country he loves. The tone is warm, friendly and educational. Grateful to have found this delightful podcast.

Incredible access to a master story teller
The host and savvy tour company owner has created a brilliant series combining history with a real sense of being “there”.
I’ll freely admit I’m quite biased being born in Edinburgh but raised in the USA. Yet, I’ve learned so much about the people, the history, and the heritage. While I’ve been lucky enough to have been to a number of places he describes on his virtual tour starting in Edinburgh, I still hang on his every word.
This is a great podcast and I highly recommend it to both the curious and the nostalgia seeker.
