Hi Loves,
Happy Friday and welcome to season 2 of UNFILTERED. I can't believe we are 30 episodes in, my on the side passion project has grown so much and I couldn't be more thankful. For everyone that has been here since day 1, I love you, and for everyone who is just showing up ... I love you, welcome to the family. I really can't emphasize the importance of this episode. This episode is all about voting with Genessa Krasnow, from Feel Good Voting. Feel Good Voting is an organization that harnesses the power of social media to mobilize young people to vote ( 18-30). In this episode we discuss the importance of your vote, and how to facilitate difficult conversations in person, what cancel culture really is. I am so grateful that Genessa took the time out of her day to speak to me about the power of your vote ( yes, even if you think you know the outcome of your state) and I can't wait for next week ... which will be a part two with the social media director Zoë McGough!
Voting is so much bigger than you think. In this episode I also discuss voter suppression, and just how many people cannot vote in 2020 (in 11 states those incarcerated lose their right to vote indefinitely)! Enact the change you want to see, and create a better world than you grew up in! Your vote matters, you matter. Have a lovely weekend and share this episode with a friend!

Happy Friday Loves!
This Friday we are here to talk all about mental health. In this episode, I talk all about my struggles during the last few months and some small changes that have had real impactful differences on my mental health. I don't know if it's just me, but I don't need to hear another "you'll get through it :/" ( we are SO not here for invalidating feelings, thank you!). I try to stress that you know yourself better than anyone else, so you know what you need. I hope this episode reminds everyone that this is a difficult time, and its okay if you are not being the best version of yourself. However, if this time feels like it is too much, it is uber important to reach out to people and resources that can help you feel better and provide you with the support you need. This episode was a lil all over the place but I hope it helps you find some resources that can help you.
You deserve to be happy, and you are worthy of all the love.
I'm sending you lots of it,
xx,
Hale

Happy Friday Everyone!
Episode 27 is here, and I am so excited! This episode was so amazing to film; there is such a sense of comfort in finding the words to articulate all that you have been feeling. This episode is also really special to me because it kicks off my Black Girl Mini- Series! In episode 27, I am joined by Kim and Brea from HearttoHeart podcast while we discuss Imposter Syndrome, and how ours was heightened with our racial and gender identities. We discuss our experiences, tips, and daily reminders to combat our feelings of discomfort and doubt. We also talk about navigating the college process, and the Ivy League institutions we attend. Most importantly this episode emphasizes that you deserve to be where you are.To anyone and everyone listening, I hope that this helps you through whatever you are struggling with. College admission officers do not make mistakes, and if they do, it was definitely not on you. Thank you so much to Kim and Brea, and make sure to check them out at @heart2heartpodcast.

Hi loves, today I am joined by two of my best friends! Chloe, Katie and I are all rising Sophomores at Brown and in this episode we discuss how we made our decision's to take a gap semester, do work remotely, or even go back ( if they let us). We each provide our own unique reasonings and stories, in addition to giving helpful tips on how to not feel stuck this semester, power through the difficult days, and remember that you cannot compare this experience to the "Normal" college one. Coronavirus is unprecedented and it is unfair to yourself to compare it to a time before the pandemic. We talk about some triggers such as social media, reminding you that it is all a highlight reel. Lots of people might be living at home this semester, but those are not the people you see on snapchat at 2 am partying . . . and thats okay! Be kind to yourself during this difficult time, and remember you need to pick the best option for yourself RIGHT now & whatever option you make will be best. We are all *rooting for you* today. I hope this episode reminds you that everyone is different, and everyone is making different decisions that is best for themselves and their family RIGHT NOW!!!
Lots of love.

Hi Loves!
Happy Friday. I hope you are all doing well. Hard to believe the summer is almost over, AND we are almost at our 30th episode AHHH! Today, I am joined by the lovely Emily Gigliotti from the Purpose Project. Emily and I discuss our experiences with burnout, what we learned, and how we try to prevent burnout now. I feel as though there is this belief in popular culture that you have to keep on hustling and power through anything ... but what happens when you can't? I have been very open about my burnout experiences - I remember the moment I broke vividly. However, I want to be CLEAR ... You don't have to break to know that you're struggling. I hope Emily and I can help everyone and anyone who feels like they might be going through burnout, or is working themselves towards that. To ANYONE struggling, you are going to get through it, and I hope, our tips and insights help you through that process. As always, I'm rooting for you. Be a little kinder to yourself today.
Have a wonderful weekend fam :)

Hi Everyone,
Happy Friday! This week I made an episode that is very prevalent right now - taking time off. Over the last week, my college delayed the move in date, and I have had to grappling with what this semester will look like. Lots of questions going through my head … like should I take a semester off? Or just do fully remote? Will 22 year old Haley hate me if I prolong our degree? As I try to understand and decide what to do, I felt making an episode might be helpful for others as well. In this episode stress the importance of doing what is best for you! DEFYING norms... SPOILER ALERT you don’t need to change the world to take time off. It’s okay if some of your days aren’t filled with meetings, and instead you take the time and space you need to understand what is going on in your environment, and your mental health. I also speak a little bit about my first semester at college, and my struggles. TRANSFERRING is also okay. You don’t have to be the same person you were at 17 as you are at 19 years old. Always strive to be in environments that are best for you, and don’t be afraid to recognize you can change and so can the school you attend. Overall, I hope this episode reminds you that everything will work out, even when it seems like it can’t. I am rooting for you!

Episode 23: We Are not even gonna talk about my voice in my most recent episode, not really sure why it sounds like I have a frog in my throat … but we back .. & hopefully with the content you have all been waiting for! This Friday, I am joined by the amazing Sydney Lotuaco! In addition to her appearance in Season 23 of the Bachelor (Colton’s season) and season 6 of the Bachelor in Paradise, Sydney is also a professional dancer, model, podcast host, and Instagram fitness trainer ( is there anything she can’t do?). This week we talked all about RELATIONSHIPS: how Sydney knew the bachelor wasn’t for her, and how it prepared her for what was right. We talked about NOT settling for what you deserve and finding a significant other that can be a WHOLE with you, not your “other half” ( you are a whole queen, not a half). Sydney and I discuss how she is making long distance work and how she knew she was ready to date again. I hope this episode reminds you that the right boy/girl/person is out there, so stop settling for less than you deserve . . . . good things take time. This one was a fun one, and I hope you all love it. Spoiler Alert: Stick around for Sydney’s BEST tips on how to keep the romance alive.

Hi Loves,
How is everyone doing this week? I hope well. Wow, this episode I hold so close to my heart. Comparison SUCKS am I right? I have STRUGGLED with comparison my whole life ... might be the CEO of it! I hope this episode can remind you how much comparing affects every aspect of your life, not just your mental health. Bri and I talk about our struggles, and the struggles we even have NOW in the podcast industry. It is so easy to get sucked into the comparison game, but I hope this episode reminds you to love yourself and change your mindset about the pieces of yourself that might be harder to give love to. I am rooting for you!
