Such a beautiful conversation with two very dear men in my life, Kevin Cottam and Tim Hamons. I’ve been privileged to know both of these men for nearly a decade, and every time we talk, we go deep. From Kevin, digging into why The Nomadic Mindset is the way to a better future – because it’s an expansion of our mind, and how we get in alignment with all life on earth. And Tim, a visual facilitation expert, who draws to get to the deeper messages within. Tim recently attended an event on Trauma and I wanted to hear his key take-aways from this, as well as combining insights from both together. The goal of Uncommon Courage is to have courageous conversations about the issues that we need to be thinking about, and finding a pathway out of the challenges we face. Because, as Kevin regularly shares….“We are migrating. Where we were is not where we are. We are evolving.” Benson Muntere, Maasai Warrior, Kenya. The three of us see this time as a wonderful opportunity for humanity to grow, evolve, and build something better and more beautiful for all life on earth. In balance with life and in balance within ourselves. That is the combination we very much need, and we can achieve it, together. Proud to do this with three women who inspire me and who I’m proud to call my friends - Lavinia Thanapathy, Sally Foley-Lewis and the wonderful Kerrie Phipps. If you missed the #Thislittlegirlisme campaign, I expect you’re not spending much time on social media lately 😊. An idea by Inspiring Girls International, I wanted to understand this campaign more, discuss why International Day of the Girl Child has never been more important, and I also wanted to bring inspiring ladies together, so we can speak to girls (and women) around the world, as well as the great men, because we’ve got some work to do to overcome divisions and build a better future for all living beings. However we’ve got to prioritize getting the girls bit right! It’s beyond time.I asked Lavinia to join, because she’s been a real driver of the #Thislittlegirlisme campaign around the world, but especially in Asia, as well as Sally Foley-Lewis and Kerrie Phipps, because I loved both of their contributions to the campaign. All four of us are so different in many ways, but often the experiences of being a girl, and how that impacts you as you grow into a woman, aren’t that different at all. We really hope you enjoy our conversation and take away a nugget that helps you build the life you want. A couple of weeks ago, we were finally able to get a “proper” vaccine, and this was less than three months after getting two doses of Sinovac – something considered pretty useless since Delta took over the world. This new round of vaccination had a HUGE impact on us, in multiple ways, and we know others have suffered too. However, before listening, we need to point out that we are not medical or scientific experts, just two people who’ve had an experience and we are sharing this here, so others who go through it don’t think they’re weird. It’s also good to be pre-prepared, because if you have a similar reaction, it will impact your ability to work and do the stuff you want to do. Employers also definitely need to be aware! While we can’t say for sure, we don’t necessarily think our experience will be your experience if you are scheduled to get your booster six months apart – as most people in wealthy countries will experience. No, this is more about how things went down where we are, in Thailand, when the cheaper and more easily accessible vaccines made it into the country long before the other, high efficacy vaccines were available. All we can say is, it hasn’t been fun and we hope it’s over soon, because I hate the way my brain is functioning and it’s been tough to tackle together as a couple too.

Don’t know where to start in cleaning up your own personal impact on earth? We hope this helps.Welcome to Susanna Hasenoehrl - The Sustainability Speaker, Tim Wade - who speaks about winning through change, Michelle Mouille - founder of the Sustainable Mai Khao Foundation, Joanne Flinn, The Strategic Sustainability Lady, and myself, as we discuss the many ways we can all contribute individually and collectively, to reduce our impact on earth. This is how we can all contribute to ensure we do not face the worst possible outcomes of the climate crisis, and it starts with each of us. We can all make a difference – in our actions and in sharing the message to our communities. We must reduce, reduce, reduce, in all areas of life. This is the second in a series of podcasts on this topic. We're starting with how we can each make a difference, then we’ll move onto business, and finally, I will gather some experts to talk travel and tourism. Don’t forget to share your feedback and ideas, and if you feel like giving the podcast a star rating or a comment, I’d be super grateful. My guests for this podcast are Katie Hudson, Karine Gauthier and Caryll Mullings-McDonald. To set the scene, I was delighted when a group of my friends, who run a book club in Phuket, decided to make Uncommon Courage their book of choice. I personally know most of the ladies in the group, but not all of them, and on the night it happened (which I was not invited to) I was a nervous wreck.Katie reminded me in the podcast that she did share feedback at 2.30am that night (it was a long and rowdy night apparently), but it was only a few days later when Caryll sent me video testimonials that I knew the book was well received. PHEW!! This book is not your typical book by any stretch of the imagination. It’s intentionally designed that way too. I wanted to do something different, far-reaching, and useful for everyone today, as we are collectively stuck in a very challenging time for humanity! It was written to launch people out of despair, and into hope and action. I know that if we can work on ourselves, we can achieve amazing results together. To know it resonated with the book club so powerfully - for different reasons and in different ways - is something I am absolutely excited and relived to hear. I loved doing this podcast with Karine, Katie and Caryll. It was amazing hearing what resonated and why, as well as some of the funny things that came up on the night.Super grateful to you all for doing this podcast with me, and for all of the ladies who attended book club that night. Very special. Thank you. #UncommonCourage #BookClub #Phuket
