I am a mother, a grandmother of 3 girls, I have an incredible grandson-in-love, and I will soon be a great grandmother! I mention these things because they are the core of who I am and a big part of my daily thoughts. The Expanded answer: I am compassionate. My passion runs deep for other women who struggle through the rocky roads of life. Having grown up surrounded by a family with mental illness, I learned at an early age to persevere which developed the survivor in me. My mother grew up as 1 of 8 children (5 girls, 3 boys) and all but 1 of the girls had mental illnesses including my mother; so the mental illness thread runs deep playing a significant role in discovering who I am! My past brings out a level of understanding and a caution of not judging people. We don’t know what others have been through to make them who they are.
