Steve, Woody,
They rank every North American N64 game with joy and hilarity. It’s so much fun to listen to them because you can tell they’re having fun. AND, who hasn’t wanted a list like this! You’ve seen the top 10’s, 25’s, shoot, maybe even 100’s Best N64 lists floating around there on the interwebs, but I’ll bet you’ve never seen a Top EVERY NA RELEASE list! And if you have, please share it with me! But, if you haven’t, you can experience it right here on this podcast and corresponding website (ultra64podcast.com)!
Oh yeah, and Steve always gives tons of cool history and context on every game they cover, which is always very interesting and informative. And Steve, Woody, and friends are very well versed in all eras of video games so their opinions are reliable.
Anyway, if you love the N64 and you love laughing, you’ll love this podcast.

Sacrilegious, blasphemous, and nasty
Wow, The ignorance of these hosts is surprising. Although their content is decent, they alienate a large portion of their potential audience. The first few times I heard them make a disgusting comment about Jesus I ignored it BUT after listening today to one of the hosts talk about Jesus doing bumps of cocaine at the last supper before going to the cross, I am deleting this podcast. It’s really too bad that people attack Christianity for fun and no one seems to mind-however, if someone were to do the same with just about any other religion there would be an uproar. This is all probably mostly due to immaturity and ignorance on the part of the hosts, but it’s definitely too much for me to overlook.

My new favorite podcast
I'm a big fan of retro gaming, and now I am a big fan of this podcast. I love that they don't just review the favorites, but also of lesser known titles. Very informative and insightful. Funny too. Keep up the good work, guys!

Top Notch Political Insight
The only purely political podcast I listen to. I tried Joe Rogan, but he just seemed like so much of a sissy compared to Steve and Woody. Also games are played and ranked.

Nostalgia at its finest
Absolutely the best N64 podcast of all time. I enjoy it when they review great games (ocarina of time) and I love it when they review terrible games (Superman 64). The hosts and their guests have fantastic chemistry- it reminds me of playing N64 with my best friends. Also, give Steve a follow on Twitter @ultra64podcast . He’s a good follow and he interacts with fans often!

“The Definitive N64 Podcast” is no joke of a claim- these two pull it off.
Steve and Woody have managed to create one of my favorite podcasts with Ultra 64. Not only do they cover all of the Nintendo 64’s games in great detail (more than many of them deserve), but they also put forth so much interesting information regarding the origins of the games, the real-world inspirations, and even some of the cancelled titles left in the lurch. Both of the hosts have a great sense of humor, play off each other well, and the guests they bring in all add their own flavors to the mix. If you have even a passing interest in the catalog of one of Nintendo’s most nostalgic consoles, make Ultra 64 your next download for sure.

Came for Ogre Battle 64, stayed for Dual Heroes
Just listened in to see your take on my favorite game for the console, Ogre Battle 64, and one of the hosts mentioned Dual Heroes being their worst rated game. So I had to listen to that one because I had got that fighting gem used because my much younger step brother though the characters looked cool. Anyway thanks for bringing me back because Dual Heroes just cracked me up back in the day with all the background and story for such a terrible fighting game. I recall the fighters having such long detailed backstories and so many stats including blood type. Anyway I got to dust off my cart and play this one again.
Great podcast. I’m subscribed now.

Less than a minute in and politics
Because Jordan Peterson and Joe Rogan bashing is extremely relevant to someone who wants to listen to a review of a 90s action adventure game. See ya and here’s one star.

Why inject gaming? Bye.
Loved the politics chit-chat. Pretty funny, well researched, good format. But then you went and injected 1990s Nintendo video games. Why? I listen to this to get away from video games. Nintendoroks ruin everything.

Why inject politics? Bye.
Loved the gaming chit-chat. Pretty funny, well researched, good format. But then you went and injected 2019 SJW politics. Why?
I listen to this to get away from politics. Leftists ruin everything.
It's all in the game.
Just what I was looking for!
I was on a nostalgic search on YouTube for a bunch of Banjo Kazooie videos and realized that I needed to subscribe to a podcast that goes over N64 games. This happened to be the first to pop up so I checked out a very old episode and liked it. As a podcaster I’m aware that quality gets better over time so I went through and proceeded to download every episode related to a game that I have in my collection.
Now that I’ve listened to about 20 episodes so far I can totally recommend this show! While as a OCD completionist I do get slightly annoyed that they don’t finish every game, I realize how difficult that would be for each episode. Great show by cool and knowledgeable people and it makes me want to go back and add more to my own N64 collection!

Awesome show, but mostly off topic
I really love the N64, and this podcast does a fantastic job of talking about games and trivia. The short coming of this show is that about 60% of each episode is spent off topic, with little direction. Still fun, but I would love to hear more subject matter.

Good podcast
I really don’t like that it does the “there’s no obvious button for this!” sort of thing when you can go to the options and just see the controls, which is something dumb that affects almost every retro game podcast. I know these games are rarely ever played on original hardware and no one has a instruction booklet but please— if it explains it in game, I don’t think implying that there’s no “obvious button” makes sense

Hey! Listen!
I was brought here by an ad on The Flop House, and I'm very glad that I did. Steve & Woody are funny, amiable hosts who do an admirable amount of homework for every episode. Their conversations extend beyond just N64 games to any adjacent topics of the week's subject and gaming in general. Compulsive listening, a very pleasant surprise.

N64 nostalgia
If the N64 was one of your consoles growing up this is a great podcast to listen. To. From the classics to obscure, Steve and Woody do a good job of going into trivia about whatever the game is about and a good review of the game itself.

Nostalgia in Abundance
I love the weekly trip down memory lane even if I learn most of my favorites growing up are not as good as I remember.

Legends
In honor of Pride 2019 and Zelda, Woody and Steve are gay icons despite not loving Harvest Moon 64. Every Saturday it’s a TREAT to recall my favorite console of all time.

Nintendo 64 Nerds Celebrate
This show is one of my favorite podcasts. I love the internet because you can find people who like the same things you do. I went back through every episode and I can’t recommend it enough.

Good but too political
I really like the show, I love the trivia fun facts and the hosts are energetic and fun to listen to, my only issue is how unnecessarily political it gets once every other episode. I just want to talk about video games I really don’t care what they think about Trump.

Delightful!
Ultra 64 is silly, humorous and insightful! It's great to tune in week to week and listen to Steve and Woody discuss the merits (or foibles) of the entire N64 catalouge. The hosts give solid background and context to pinnacle games and highlight lesser-known failures and hidden gems. Always a fun time.

Great show.
These guys are really great. I love the genuine effort to love the games and the love of video game culture. I think there could be some more optimization for the audio to sound a little better — but it’s getting better. I expect to upgrade this to a 5.

They play them so you don’t have to
So many Nintendo 64 games I wanted to play and never got to, but Steve has a complete collection and is making the Herculean effort to play them all! The hosts and many special co hosts sit down to talk about the games after they put some good play time into them. Well sometimes the play time isn’t good but that’s cus some of the games just aren’t good. Filled with history and facts about game studios, sports leagues, and things you never would have looked up yourself. They really do a good job of getting to know these games and sharing their experiences with you. Easy to pick and choose based on games you’re interested in and easy to listen to even if you don’t care about the featured game because of all the character they bring to the show.

Great job!
Love to listen every week, to remind me of all the old school 64 games. Steve and Woody are fun to listen too, and the guest are always fun.

TOO NARROW? YOU'RE TOO NARROW
So you think that the idea of reviewing N64 games is too narrow of a scope and too old a subject? Well dear fictional/real person that gets that im being a bit sarcastic/hyperbolic for affect, you would be wrong. Ultra 64 is very enjoyable and it does well with the scope it has. It provides alots of fun information the games. From game play and history of its subject matter. The host chemisty is so hot that if they are not besties at the end of the podcast, I will demand the Ending to be redone and shot with my fan script as an outline.
In all honesty if you played the N64 at all or just a fan of retro games, Its a must. Well written (or improv?), good pace, and just fun. Listen to and you will never regret it (probably).

Nostalgia without the glasses
These guys cover interesting Nintendo 64 games in ways that really make me remember all the good things about them without ever making it seem like any of them are perfect. It's fun listening to people who have no nostalgia for some games talk about how terrible they are and also how surprisingly fun some of them are as well.
Andy Bow
Funny and informative
I dig this concept for a podcast. The hosts talk about a random n64 game they just played, what they liked or didn't like. They also go into the series or property its based on, the developers and what the people behind this game went on to do. Its all presented very lighthearted and jokey while still being mostly on topic. Its a very good balance of funny and informative that I particulary like.

A shot of nostalgia
The Nintendo 64 is where my love for video games really took hold and I can’t begin to explain how great it is to go back and revisit the flops and the classics with a couple of guys that love the system as much as I do.

Not just nostalgia
I started listening to this podcast by only listening to the games I’ve played. After a couple of those I realized that this podcast is much more than just a nostalgia trip. Never thought I would enjoy listening to two guys talk about 20 year old games I never played.
That being said I almost took off some stars for them hating on a Cyber Tiger. That game was awesome.

Join us as we play though every N64 game
I am perhaps a little biased as I am one of the hosts of the show.
But is there another podcast out there that covers every single Nintendo 64 game in depth? There is not.
And even if there was, would they discuss such diverse topics as Gleaning the Cube, Truck Knuckles, Extreme-G Chrismas stories, and Magnus Robot Fighter? I imagine they would have more sense than that. Subscribe and review us!

Good fun and a bright future
The Ultra64 podcast is a fun walk through the complete catalog of games for the Nintendo 64. Done in a random order, the hosts talk about a game after recently playing it. The hosts Steve and Woody are very knowledgeable and host a great show. It's funny, but informative and gives interesting insight into some of the lesser known titles for the platform.

64 bits of pure greatness
Steve and Woody are great hosts and this is one of my favorite new podcasts. After hearing them hilariously tackle such non classics as Space Invaders (64) and Fighter’s Destiny I’m looking forward to hearing them take on some of the systems real gems like Goldeneye and Jet Force Gemini. Dr. Doak and Oddjob for life!
