“In recognizing the humanity of our fellow beings, we pay ourselves the highest tribute.” — Thurgood Marshall
Mental health is important for everyone, and if you’re facing a mental health challenge, you are not alone. Nearly 1 in 5 adults in the US and 1 in 7 adults worldwide are affected by a mental illness -- this statistic does not include people under 18 or from marginalized groups / low-income communities whose cases may go unreported. As we've just passed the halfway-point of Mental Health Awareness Month, this episode features a talk from a humble high school student leader, Sarah Mack, about what we can do to help reduce mental health stigma + shifts we can make to take better care of ourselves and the world around us. ☯ (more at: www.ted.com/talks)
