Murray Anderson - "The Unrelenting Test of War"
When World War II started for The United States of America on December 7th, 1941, Murray Anderson was a senior in high school in Deport, a small agricultural town in northeast Texas. In the spring of 1942, his father died, and it was up to him to run the farm. It wasn't long after that Murray joined the greatest fighting force the world has ever known, the United States Marine Corps. Rachel Wilson - "Wild Earth Texas"
🐮For nearly 200 years our family has been a part of the ranching community in Jefferson County Texas. While the face of Texas agriculture has evolved and changed much over the years, here at Wild Earth Texas we believe in a mindful blending of the old values and traditions with modern innovations. We wanted to produce the beef that we felt good about serving on our family table. 🥩Over time, we have built a natural genetic program for our herd that focuses on quality, tenderness, and adaptability; and it is our pleasure to present to you the product of our love and labor. A beautifully crafted Hereford cross, free of artificial hormones, never treated with antibiotics, that has been lovingly raised and finished entirely on open native grass pasture right here in Southeast Texas. Our cattle are humanely processed in a small USDA facility and our beef is dry aged to perfection for superior flavor and tenderness.

History of Spindletop Gladys City Boomtown
History of Spindletop Gladys City Boomtown featuring Troy Gray The Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum is located in Beaumont, Texas, to commemorate the discovery of oil at the Spindletop Hill salt dome in Beaumont on Jan. 10, 1901. The discovery sparked an oil boom in Texas that continues today. Along with a gift shop with commemorative gifts, the museum features historical, period reenactments by area performers. A replica of the wooden oil derricks that once dotted the landscape of Spindletop Hill in the early 1900s has been erected near the museum. For special occasions and anniversaries, the museum staff “blows the gusher” with a plume of water and provides a historical narrative and sound effects to simulate the discovery of oil at Spindletop. The museum is on the campus of Lamar University, which owns and operates the museum.

Jaime Diaz – “Solar Power”
Jaime Diaz designs and installs solar panel systems for homes all throughout the United States. Solar for homes is more affordable and achievable than you may think. The vast majority of home solar systems will be connected to the grid. With grid-connected solar, net-metering serves as an efficient solution to the question “how will I power my solar home at night?” Net metering is a solar incentive where you receive bill credits when your solar system overproduces electricity. During times when your panels aren’t producing enough electricity, you can use those bill credits to cover the cost of your grid electricity use. If you are off-grid, you won’t have access to electricity from your utility. This means that, in order to build a completely off-grid project, you will need extensive energy storage capabilities, an extra-large solar panel system, and provisions for backup power to cover you when your panels don’t get enough sun.
