While the topics are super interesting I have to agree with the other reviewers that the AI “convo’ style is off-putting. I guess if that’s the only way to generate audio for this person’s thoughtful observations then so be it. But it detracts from the quality of the content a lot. My review is that I simultaneously like and dislike this podcast.

I would give zero stars if I could. I was so excited to finally find another podcast on Nichiren Buddhism, closer to the nichiren shu practices that I hold dear. Especially, seeing a podcast episode about Tendai, I was looking forward to an intellectual discussion. Instead I discovered a recording of AI slop. The Spotify voices don’t make any sense, drop annoying phrases every two seconds in a forced way, and make an incoherent mess of a potentially interesting idea. In the first sentences, Nichiren and Hiei are mispronounced…on a podcast about Nichiren Buddhism. Just have someone at your temple read off the script at this point and it would be better.
