As you may have noticed, the Your Itinerary show on the TWiP Network featuring Rob Knight has been dormant for a while. So, I’ve got some good news, and of course, some bad news to tell you. First, the bad news — Rob Knight has moved on from the show to focus on some other things. And though he’s still 100% a friend of — and loved by TWiP, he will no longer be hosting our Your Itinerary podcast. The good news is, the show is not gone! In fact, We’ve taken this opportunity to revamp the whole thing, with a new format, a new host and some really exciting new content. This new show will no longer be called Your Itinerary, rather it'll be called something entirely new and fresh. To get this new show, there’s no need to resubscribe if you’re already subscribed to Your Itinerary. Look for new episodes to start appearing in this feed mid-to-late January. ` Jay Dickman is a storyteller Jay Dickman is probably the guy you picture when you think “Travel Photographer”. Jay has been everywhere and he’s been telling stories with photographs longer than a lot of you have been alive! ` Roman Kurywczak takes his photography personally. Roman Kurywczak is a professional nature photographer and workshop leader based in New Jersey. Roman doesn’t wear the typical nature photographer uniform, and he generally marches to the beat of his own drum. ` Peyton Hale is not just a landscape photographer. Peyton Hale is known for his beautiful landscape photography, but his work on the road over the last few years has turned his eye toward travel photography. Peyton is one of the trip leaders for the Giving Lens. He quickly realized during these trips that the people were often the most important subjects. We all shoot what interests us. Some photographers start by shooting people, but some of us (I’m definitely in this camp) work our way into it. Peyton is still shooting beautiful landscapes, but he spends just as much time shooting portraits these days. Be sure to check out the Giving Lens. `Levi Sim is everywhere! I’ll bet you’ve seen Levi Sim around. He can be found at most big photography events like Photoshop World and Out of Chicago. He is also a prolific contributor to PhotoFocus and co-host of the Lightroom Hangout with Rob Sylvan. You are likely to remember Levi if you’ve met him because he is one of the nicest people I know. He’s one of those guys who always seems relaxed and glad to see you. I’m sure his demeanor is one of the reasons his portrait subjects generally seem happy and relaxed as well. Making pictures on the road can be a stressful endeavor. Working for clients is hard enough without adding travel to the mix. ` Relics from behind the Iron Curtain. I know the TWiP audience is familiar with Don Komarechka because of his frequent appearances on the mothership. Don is a photographer, educator and author who is known for shooting things that most of us never see. His book Sky Crystals: Unraveling the Mysteries of Snowflakes shows both his eye for beautiful images and his near super-human technical skill. Don was telling me about his upcoming return trip to Bulgaria while we were both on TWiP, and I was blown away by his images of the crumbling Soviet buildings he showed me. Once again, Don had captured beautiful and unusual images of things you and I might never see otherwise. Please watch the video podcast above so you can see the images. ` Fine art wildlife photography. Charles Glatzer is a wildlife photographer and workshop leader based in North Carolina. In person he is a no-nonsense guy who obviously has a firm grasp on the fundamentals of photography. His rapport with his students is founded on his years of teaching experience. If you take a look at Charles’ work I think you’ll see that he is not just another wildlife photographer. His images demonstrate a grasp of light and composition that is usually reserved for fine art. Chas is not satisfied with just capturing a sharp photo of an animal. He wants to show you the best possible representation of his subjects. Can you tell I’m a fan of his work?! On top of all that he’s a nice guy and I consider him a friend. I don’t remember where I heard about lumoid.com, but I'll admit I wasn't very excited about it at first. I figured it was just another place to rent photo gear online until I saw that they also rented Phantom drones. I was intrigued! Upon further review I saw that this San Francisco based company has a few other unique things to offer. Aarthi Ramamurthy is the founder CEO of lumoid.com.
