Dr. Curry hails from the fishing village of Hopewell Hanover in Jamaica. In this episode, she shares the importance of persistence, faith, and believing in yourself as you pursue your dreams.

Although Tanika was denied entrance to medical school five times this did not dissuade her from pursuing her dreams. She maintained an openness to opportunity which has served her well. 

Having recently gained entry into a competitive ENT residency programme in Canada against the odds she encourages young persons to have a dream and to keep persisting until they achieve it!
