Podcast Interview with Rick Cavey
In this episode, Rick Cavey discusses lessons learned in his long and illustrious career. Rick has been involved in everything from leading agricultural initiatives, negotiating peaceful partnerships with foreign nations, playing conductor to cross-sectorial underwater archeology, and executing military missions. All of this has been done against the backdrop of raising children in Blue Ridge.
Rick Cavey is a former US navy diver who owns and operates an organic vegetable farm with his wife, Jen, in Grayson County. He retired as a navy officer after 24 years of service. His proudest achievements include: leading partnerships with former Soviet bloc nations, contributing to and leading Hurricane Katrina recovery and rescue operations, and returning with all his men after a tour in Iraq.
