Composer Nate May and base vocalist Andrew Munn combine contemporary opera and passions for environmental and economic justice in Appalachia in a live performance of "Dust in the Bottomland."
Nate May is a professional composer who has a passion for making music that engages with social reality. Much of his work stems from a "fascination, love, and respect for the people" of Appalachia. Andrew Munn is a bass vocalist with previous experience working as a community organizer in Appalachia informing his ongoing work as a musician. Andrew sings opera, classical music cannons, and new music collaborations like "Dust in the Bottomland".
