After serving in the Peace Corps in Mauritania, West Africa, Sean landed in the place he always wanted to be--Asia. Traveling the world with his small espresso machine, Sean has been on a years-long search for such things as the Dao (path), Pu'er tea, and new and raw perspectives in our globalized world. He has had the opportunity to teach ESL to children all over China, has always endeavored to experience China in the most authentic way possible, and is still very much traveling along the Dao.

Sean C Moore's journey started from Mauritania, West Africa, and extended into India and South China, in search of herbal tea, acupuncture, tui na massage and a decent cup of coffee. Carried with him, is his language teaching philosophy -- always charge the conversation with intellectual curiosities, and never expect less. Moore, a six-year ESL teacher in China and an extensive traveler, has taught young and old, factory workers and business leaders from a small mountain town in Hunan to Chongqing and Guangzhou.

Many elementary school students across Yunnan, Xi'an, and Shanghai, China have benefited from Devon Wilson's innovative phonics curriculum. His unique experiences ended up taking him to Harvard University, where he studied at the Graduate School of Education. But, Devon did not stop there. Speaking with us from Taiwan, where he is completing a Critical Language Scholarship in Mandarin, Devon reflected on his multi-cultural experiences in China
