As the rest of the country was settling in and finalizing holiday meals, a man in his mid forties with unremarkable features, yet a quiet and steady demeanor walks through the Portland International Airport. It’s Thanksgiving Eve, Nov 24th, 1971. He approaches the ticket agent at Northwest Orient Airlines and requests to purchase a one- way ticket to Seattle aboard flight 305- a mere 25 minute journey in the air. The Boeing 727 holds the man, and 36 other passengers. He is kindly served a bourbon and soda, but before settling in for the rest of the flight, he brings a briefcase to his lap and calls over to the stewardess once again. What she witnesses next, will change not only the course of the flight, but her life, for everyone on board is about to become involved in the most notorious unsolved flight- hijacking in American history. Despite 911 calls from eye witnesses confirming the entry point of Jeff's car into the river, rescue attempts were not conducted until September 13th- 4 days later. Upon retrieval, law enforcement removed Jeff's car key from his front pocket of his pants. His car transmission was in "park." Inconsistencies in stories about Jeff's last hours have raised more questions than answers:Was Jeff assaulted?Was Jeff helped to his car from a bar and taken water? Was Jeff roofied?Was Jeff in emotional distress?We have witness statements submitted to law enforcement saying they were told by eye witnesses that there were two cars that evening, not one. When the car eye witnesses were  followed up by law enforcement, this claim was denied ever being said. Shortly into the trail, she decided she wasn’t up for the hike and turned around to go back to the park’s lodge area while the other’s carried on to the destination. When the others returned, there was no sign of her, and there hasn’t been ever since. Besides her hiking partners, nobody can confirm she was actually in the park that day.
