We will work through the definitions of a culturally relevant pedagogy as described by Ladson Billings from her 1995 article (But That’s Just Good Teaching; The Case for Culturally Relevant Pedagogy), we’ll discuss the three components of what comprises a culturally relevant pedagogy. Later in the podcast, we’ll discuss how Ladson-Billings revises her theory into a culturally sustaining theory, of which is highlighted in her 2014 article: Culturally Relevant Pedagogy 2.0, aka The Remix.
