Lukas will take us on a journey to learn more about the health factors of the Doughnut Economy. Even though this concept sounds as though it focuses on economic factors, he shows how other aspects are also part of the Doughnut model.  One of these aspects is health – in particular human health. He will give a short introduction to this topic and meet with someone from the movement Health for Future. Health for Future wants to raise awareness about the problems related to human health and what needs to be done about it.

Addressed Planetary Boundaries/ Doughnut Economy (Ecological Ceiling): climate change, chemical pollution, land conversion, biodiversity loss, air pollution

Addressed spheres Doughnut Economy (Social Foundation): water, food, health, education

This episode also features the voice of Lukas Kiefer.

This podcast is part of a larger compendium, where we explore different thoughts and frameworks that can guide sustainable development towards a future inside of our planetary boundaries. Of crucial importance are the ideas of planetary health and the doughnut economy, operating as the overarching concepts behind our research.

The compendium is the work of an international students group of the master's programme Global Change Management (GCM) class 2021, from the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development.
