Emma continues her mini episode with the second part of her mini series of her top five careers she would like as a grown up.  Emma gives a background as to why nursing is her number 4. She looks up to her uncle Luis and admires the work he does for others. There are many pros and few cons as to why nursing is a career she would like to have as an adult. 

Emma and Joe are unsupervised this Friday and they have to run a few errands take a listen as they discuss what a day without Emma's mom/Joe's wife is like. They also start a new topic chatting what an insta-dad can do to connect with his stepdaughter. You will get a great insight as to what are the small things that are actually really big for Emma. Join us for this fun episode as the two have unexpected guests throughout the recording of this episode. One of them just might be Baloo who is constantly wanting to play. 

Joe goes into his second mini episode staying on topic How do I step UP without stepping Over. This mini episode is all about food and how Joe needs to lead by example. Bad eating habits are learned and taught at a young age. Joe discusses how his eating habits were not the greatest but now as a stepdad he needs to step up to help his wife guide Emma to eating properly. This does not mean never eating fast food or fried burritos but it does mean Joe needs to eat some broccoli.   

Joe and Emma get along just fine but there is this one thing they are always debating. In this episode they give you a glimpse into their debate. Which decade was it better to grow up in? The 1980's a time of going big and the start of a new era. The 2010's a time where technology is growing so fast that yesterday's new tech has already been surpassed by today's new tech. Joe and Emma leave you decide which decade was better you can be the judge.  

In her 1st ever mini episode Emma gives us a brief introduction into her 5 part mini series detailing what career path she would like to take. She shares with us as she gives a couple of pros and cons as to why teaching is her 5th choice for a career.  

Catchup with Joe & Emma as they discuss what this past week was like. They also talk about what it has been like being a family for a year. They start with the wedding, to a Christmas trip to Disney world, and a fun Sanchez family trip to the beach.  What are some things they love to do as a family at home? Could a 12 year old like Shark Tank? 

In this first mini episode we listen as Joe or as Emma loves to call him Joey talk about coming into an established family. How does a single man with no children come into the picture and become a the man of the house? Joe does not give advice he is only talking about his experience and how he went about it and made sure that he did not turn his wife into a referee between stepdad and stepdaughter.  

Emma is turned 12! One more year and we will have a teenager in the house. Listen as Joe and Emma discuss some of their favorite birthday parties and gifts they have received. Emma also tells us what she would like to accomplish before she becomes a teen. Emma also went back to school and not online but to a real life building with real life students and teachers. Was she nervous, excited or both? 

After being away all summer with her dad Emma comes home with mixed emotions. It is always tough leaving dad but excited because she gets to come home to her mom. They also talk about going back to school in this covid time and wanting to be back in an actual classroom. Emma is also starting in middle school which brings new class options, the two talk about the extra curricular activities Emma picked for this year.

So here we are the end of a season one. Joe and Emma discuss what it has been like becoming an insta family 9 months ago and also talk about some of the things they are still trying to grasp. Emma still has a hard time being disciplined by Joe while he says that is one thing he does not enjoy doing. Emma will be heading off to spend the summer with her dad so she gives a quick summary of what her summer will look like. Listen as they give their last dad joke and kid joke for this season.
