Being an only child when was little I always wondered what it'd be like to have an older brother. Well, all it took was a move to small town and right across the street I got it. Lex and my family both moved in to town within a week or two of each other and my mom would babysit him and his siblings. So by proxy I ended up with five siblings. And believe me when I say it's defiantly a sibling relationship with ups, downs an all around to say the least but Lex has grown up and carved a nice career for himself managing and working behind the camera for a number of sporting events. It's cold outside, and while most of us would like to hide in side huddling by the heat, that can not be said for Mr. Kevin Burnside Jr. Born with Spina bifida and sadly lost both his legs, but Kevin has continued to beat the odds. Going from basketball and now working towards becoming a Paralympian Nordic Skier of all things. After hearing Kevin's story if you don't feel motivated to do more I don't know what to tell you. 2020 may have been tough for him, but it hasn't killed his drive to make the US Olympic team and perform at the highest stage in his sport. While most of us, including myself, would've probably just settled for what life gives us, Kevin is a shining example of going through the muck of life and following your passion even at the grimmest of times. Keeping with the family theme allow me to introduce you to the person who probably had biggest hand in me talking so much, my mom, Cecilia Prange. We do some reminiscing, talking about her years teaching piano, coming to the US from Colombia, meeting my old man, and of course some sweet moments in a real conversation between mom and son.
