I been listening your conversation, it help me a lot . But I don’t see the subject of divorce , separate parent , single parenting and how to help teens girls to go through. Please think about it to talk about this kind of families.

Having a 13 year-old and a 15 year-old myself, I was really hoping to find a podcast that would help me navigate these years more easily. After searching "teenager" in my Podcast app, I stumbled across Roy Petitfils' amazing podcast "Today's Teenager." And thank goodness I did! Roy does a wonderful job navigating some really tough topics on parenting teens. Having 2 boys, I especially loved his podcast on "Dealing with Teen Drama," as boys have drama, too! Roy makes parents feel like it's okay, and gives great, simple advice. Sometimes parenting experts make a listener feel judged, but not Roy. He admits to his own shortcomings, which I appreciate—we all screw up sometimes! I also loved the episode on "How to Stop Being a Perfect Parent" and his "Advanced Communication tips." THANK YOU, Roy, for such a pleasant, enlightening, easy-to-listen-to podcast. Ooh, and I also enjoy how some episodes are an hour, some are 30 minutes, and some are 10 minutes! If I just have a few minutes, I can listen to a short podcast, but if I am going for a long run, I choose a long one.

I recommend for parents, school counselors, and educators of teenagers.

I stumbled upon this podcast and got hooked immediately. After each episode Im left truly feeling like you understood exactly where I am in life. You’ve helped me improve communication with my husband, helped me communicate better with my (4) children and I look forward to each episode. This is my favorite parenting podcast. I have two teenagers, and to say that Roy's topics are relevant is an understatement. I love his caring, down to earth approach. It helps me to remember that my teens are normal. This is so important, because I feel like in this competive world we live in, moms are often afraid to be vulnerable with other moms about what their families are dealing with for fear of judgment. Thank you!

I was turned on to this podcast by a friend who has been in youth ministry for years. As a priest who has done a lot of work with young people, I have to say I am so so so grateful for this. Actionable, wise, encouraging, practical, never preachy...I recommend this to every parent, educator, and coach who interacts with teens. A blessing.

I heard Roy Petifils speak at my Church and found him to be an excellent speaker. I was inspired to listen to his podcast and have not been disappointed. His words truly give a parent something to think about and to pray on. He grew up poor but is now raising his own children in a more affluent environment. This is something that I can also relate to and sometimes worry about. He speaks on topics that all parents can relate to in an inspiring and comforting way.

I've been fortunate enough to be able to hear Roy speak on two different occassions. I was so excited when I heard about this podcast. I love it! Thank you so much for doing this for all of us teen parents! I need all the help I can get!

This is such a great resource for anyone who has teens in their life. I share Roy's teachings with my siblings and friends. It's refreshing and encouraging to read about or listen to Roy talk about normal and abnormal teen behavior and what to expect in these teen years. Truly a great guide and resource for parents.

Every parents handbook for raising teenagers!! A must for every parent!!

Working with parents, and with other ministers who work with parents, I am recommending this podcast like crazy! I love that Roy Petitfils reminds us to walk with each other, parents and children, parents with other parents. He offers support to parents of any teen, but also to single parents and parents of children with special needs. Good stuff!

Three years ago my teenage son came to live with me. It was immediately obvious that he was troubled. I asked our priest to recommend a good teen counselor. Two weeks or so later we met Roy. Since that time Roy has offered my son actionable advice and a compassionate ear. He is definitely in tune with today's teen. His advice to me as a parent has been golden and has opened the communication channel between my son and I. After listening to his first few podcasts, I see Roy's helpful nature being offered to anyone with a few minutes a week to listen. If you have a teen or pre teen, I highly recommend this podcast! Roy is a great guy who is enthusiastic about helping others. Great job Roy!

Roy is the consumate professional. His clinical and ministerial experience working with teens makes him an excellent source of wisdom, information and knowledge. Roy is an excellent speaker and teacher and these two gifts come out as I listen to these podcasts. Keep up the great work Roy!

Roy's insight and expertise in dealing with teen behavior and issues is phenomenal. He is providing valuable tools to parents who may find themselves at a loss for "understanding" their teens. He lays it out in a concise, practical, and straightforward way that brings us all closer to understanding our teens and how to serve their needs.

I have seen Roy help change the lives o many teens and their families through his professional counseling skills and principles. I strongly believe in Roy's mission to help any current/potential teenagers make good, healthy, informed choices. I would highly recommend him anyway !!

Roy is my number one source for advice in raising my kids. (It might be because he is my husband, so consider the bias I have here!) Seriously, on top of actually working with teens for 20 years, Roy reads and reads and reads about teens and their brains and behavior and development constantly. And even though he has become an “expert” (as stated by others), he approaches information about teens with a beginner’s mind always absorbing as much information as he can whether it be from books, other podcasts, web sites, other people, etc. His mindset is that there is always more to know. In addition to the great information, you are certain to get some laughs as well. :) Enjoy!
