So yeah, a day late and a dollar short with this episode, but why should these topics be confined to one month? Anyways we start things off with some hot cocoa and peppermint Schnapp’s, Liquid Thin Mints if you will, because for us it’s cold outside. Of course we can’t dive into any serious subject without a little awkward chit chat, but we jump into our main story with a quickness.  We both discuss the The Rosewood Race Massacre that occurred in what was once Rosewood, Florida beginning on New Years Day 1923. The details are brutal, and the word massacre seems insufficient to describe what happened over several days that first week of 1923.  And of course there is a catalyst that seems all too familiar to these stories, a woman who lies to save her own “fanny”. For this episode of Tipsy Tales Podcast the gals sip on Ménage a Trois pinot grigio and discuss the Pythian Castle in Springfield Missouri.  Alma gives a rundown on the history which includes some sad orphan life, and a prisoner of war who died that is still hanging out and giving people bad vibes.  Carlene and Alma discuss the abundance of paranormal activity at this location and the activity that has been experienced even by WWII soldiers that occupied the castle in the 40’s right down to the current owners.  Grab your favorite drink, pull up a chair and join us on another crazy ride to spooky town.

Alma and Carlene bring in the New Year with a shot of tequila and talk about their time apart, including Carlene’s very special news that she’s been dying to share for a few months.  You will have to tune in to hear all about it.  The gals dive into their story about a haunted bar in Milwaukee called Shaker’s Cigar Bar that serves more than liquid spirits. This place has a smorgasbord of ghost sampling from the civil war to prohibition, replete with mobsters, a murdered working girl and her jealous murderer. For our final episode of 2021 we are joined by Alma’s baby sister Laura and we sip hot cocoa laced with kahlua while she regales us with stories of her time in Baltimore, Maryland.  Inspired by this we discuss the life and mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of the famous writer and poet Edgar Allan Poe.  We also dive into some of the places he still likes to visit in Baltimore. After a few technical issues keep them busy the gals drink their Cherry Crush and Vodka which they both agree tastes like cough medicine.  They chit chat about podcast numbers and the weird things happening outside Carlene’s home captured on her security cameras while Alma obsesses over the static in their mic’s. They finally get to their topic for the night which is Pancho Villa and the possibility that his ghost might still roam some of the places he’d been.  One such place where his ghost has been spotted on numerous occasions is the Gadsden Hotel in Douglas Arizona, where his headless form wanders the building along with a few other spirits.  It’s a mix of history and paranormal this time around so be sure to listen in to this episode of Tipsy Tales.

For this episode of Tipsy Tales the gals sip on some Seven Moons Dark Side Red Blend, fitting for the after the full moon.  Carlene shares a really cool serendipitous story of how spirit led her to Costco.  Yes, Costco, you will have to hear it to believe it.  Then both Alma and Carlene take on a listener request about Centralia, Pennsylvania, a town that has literally been burning for 59 years. Was this town cursed by a pissed of priest? The gals sip on wine, until Alma ruins it by taking a giant swig out of the bottle and they have a good laugh about it.  They recap the previous episode about their trip to Vulture City and the EVP’s they caught and then they get right into their story about Jean Harlow and the house gifted to her by her Hollywood Mogul husband Paul Bern.
