The simple medicine of presence that fosters clarity in body, heart & mind evades us. Or do we evade it? Busy schedules, exhaustion & feelings of unease to keep up with the pace of a world that is ever-changing & threatens its own end. Are we implicate in our own suffering by trying to keep up with a clock that was never our own? Why isn’t what we currently have enough? What are we chasing or are we being chased? Amidst all the noise, this episode serves as an inquiry into how invoking presence can be the answer to a lot of our questions.“Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.” -Khalil Gibran

The human body is composed of about 70% water & the nature of water is to flow. Waves pushing water to shore symbolize the ebb & flow, the natural cycle of give & receive. The imbalance we see in today’s society is a result of a give & take relationship. Earth gives & we take giving nothing back, resulting in a severed connection. The planet is dying on the timeline of force, but it is actively alive on the timeline of flow. There is a symbiotic relationship between Earth & humanity. Earth is a reflection of us as we are of her. These bodies are of Earth, so from Earth they came & to Earth they shall return. As flow takes precedence in our everyday lives rather than it being something we tap into only on the weekends, we’ll start to witness a huge collective shift in our relationship with Mother. Honoring flow is honoring life.

I've learned patience is very important in pertinence to healing as healing is not a one time event. As we process trauma and the heavier emotions that come with it, it is imperative that we are patient with ourselves. There is no rush, but that can be easy to forget when the world around us is in constant motion. Living in a fast paced society inadvertently influences us to try & keep up with it as we are the products of our environment. Having patience is a revolutionary act in a world that tries to rush us into peril. Nature reminds us of the beauty present in every moment and in everything. Human beings are not separate from Nature & at one point we were in complete harmony. Many have lost their connection to Nature and as a result have lost the connection to themselves, but with patience, we can find our way back."Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished." - Lao Tzu
