What sort of person should we aspire to be? Or, to put it another way, what sort of person is "blessed?" // In this second message of our 2024-2025 chapel series, we walked through Jesus' answer to this question in His description of the citizens of His kingdom at the beginning of the Sermon on the Mount. And to put it frankly, this passage - the Beatitudes - paints a radically different picture than what the world so often thinks.

Simply put, this is Jesus' "kingdom manifesto." // In the first message of our 2024-2025 secondary chapel series on Matthew 5-7, our campus pastor, Jacob Hunter, introduced the main idea of this sermon from Jesus, read through the entirety of the passage, and shared three guiding principles for our study this year.

In our first secondary chapel of the 2024-2025 school year, our school administrator, Dr. Jeff Abbett, gave an opening charge to the students. Our Summer Family Podcast series is back!! This year, we're excited to be joined by Dr. Mark Hager of the Timberlake Biblical Counseling & Training Center to talk about parenting from a biblical worldview. In this first episode, Dr. Hager shared some of his story, what our biblical counseling center does, and some foundational thoughts on what a biblical view of parenting entails.

Our last secondary chapel of the 2023-2024 school year was packed! Alongside a game, worship, sports updates, and a mission trip scholarship recognition, Mr. Abbett gave a year-end charge on guarding your heart from Proverbs 4:23, and Mr. Hunter gave the final message of our "Foundations" series from Genesis 3:20-24.

For our last Biblical Worldview Panel Discussion of the 2023-2024 school year, renowned apologist and historian Dr. Gary Habermas joined us to discuss the overwhelming amount of historical evidence for the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. This discussion proved to be extremely helpful in light of the recent emphasis on Genesis 3:15 in our chapel series and on the heels of our recent Middle School Apologetics Boot Camp!
