Writers Blockbusters is an incredibly entertaining and informative podcast, a deep dive into the magic behind how movies are written. I am not a screenwriter or moviemaker by any stretch of the imagination, but I have been enriched by learning the psychology behind how these stories are crafted and the way it affects us as the viewer. Equally technical and soul searching, the hosts aren’t shy to share their life experiences and I appreciate it deeply. Now, let’s take a look at that box office!

Writers/Blockbuster is one of my favorite movie podcasts to listen to. Bob, Jamie, and Jimmy all give really interesting insight not just into the world of screenwriting but also storytelling in general. They’re all really funny to listen to and make you feel like you’re apart of their movie appreciation club. To say I missed them during quarantine would be an understatement. Keep doing what you’re doing guys!

The Thundergrunt team executes each episode of their screenwriters show with tact and clear understanding. As someone who has their own deep affinity with film, it’s refreshing to hear this trio break down scripts to their base elements in a clear and precise manner. They provide an authentic look at the process and I’m incredibly grateful for every episode.

It’s just people screaming at how ridiculous movies are. If you enjoy people literally screaming, you’ll enjoy this. SKREEEEEE ALSO more “Whose roll is it anyway” pls

I'm specifically reviewing the Writers/Blockbusters episodes in the Thundergrunt feed as I have yet to listen to the other shows. Writers/Blockbusters is a supurb show where three scriptwriters-teachers share their insight on the scripts of major motion pictures to discuss why movies succeed or fail, or how they might be breaking convention in order to forge new ground in the cinematic landscape. It's a very unique perspective and it's one that doesn't get a lot of discusson in the cinema podcast world.

Writers/Blockbusters is my new favorite jam, these dudes are so smart and entertaining that I could seriously listen to them talk about anything. The show is educational, too, like I totally wanna write a screenplay now

This group is hilarious, it's great to throw on a podcast and feel like I'm hanging out with friends and listening to all the witty, sarcastic, insightful banter.

They find the worst of the worst, and watch them so you don't have to. Great guests and an eye for the ridiculous trash that somehow made it into our (or at least their) homes

Great podcast in a sea of podcasts. The 50 shades episode is a 10/10 amongst many others. It's just a lot of fun and highly recommended.
