Here Becky chats with Mindy,   we are sat outside on logs, beneath the canvas of autumn trees around the base camp of the University of Gloucestershire Forest School.  Mindy is an expert in Forest School and has led her own sessions for many years. She is also an Early Years graduated.  
What are the benefits for children, families and professionals of just getting outside?
Why is it crucial that urban areas have a green space to explore and what benefits does forest school bring to everyone?
We explore the wording and communication we use with young children around the weather, especially as it progresses to winter times and develop understanding on why this really matters. 
How long are you outside for ?  What opportunities does this create and what messages are the children receiving about nature.
