Welcome to the Three Things podcast, and thanks for dropping by. The podcast is how I try to notice the things I notice that make me happy or grateful. Not letting those things get away is the whole game. This week we travel via pod to 95th Avenue and 170th Street, to the 1980s, to the Jasper Place Library in Edmonton and to Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee. This week’s three things are:

  1. Pop music. With thanks to Kirsty MacColl, Tracy Ullman and Auntie Shelagh.
  2. The book drop. With thanks to the idea of a library in the first place.
  3. Sunrise, sunset. With thanks to Janet for her note(s).

The music in the podcast is by Edmonton pianist and composer Brendan McGrath. His brother, Eamon, has a new album out. The end bells are courtesy Slavo Cech, whose father recently turned 81.
