This week in anguish:

- The Hughes Bowl brought up, in addition to some hurt feelings for our primordinate son, the issue of strong mom genes. Exhibit A: the Jagrs, and the Jagrs with Cup. Exhibit B: the Hugheses.

- We heard from Jim Rutherford for the first time in a long time. Ardella basks in the sweet sounds of regret, while Tristan would like Jim to re-check his Rolodex for monied Vancouver property developers with a vested interest in helping his hockey team.

- Almost nearly totally passes without mention of one Roberto L. 

- There's a new All-Star skills competition format and the rules, for one of our hosts, at least, are an intoxicating mixture of copious and frivolous. 

- Our helmets are too dull (but may be on the precipice of being too shiny), our emboweled wine bar is at once too empty and too extant, and our yellow is all wrong. No, there is nothing we can't whinge about.
