Beth Martin grew up in rural Ontario, in a
farming community near Lake Huron—the kind of place you'd recognize from thefiction of Alice Munro. Music was a tool Beth used to establish a cohesiveidentity, and later to probe her relationship with the outside world. Sherecently completed a PhD in English Literature, and is one of the co-foundersof the Megaphonic podcast network, where she co-hostsIt’s Just a Show, a deep-dive into 90’s cultclassic show Mystery Science Theatre 3000.
