living in St. John's, Newfoundland. He grew up in Grand Falls-Windsor, a smalltown in Central Newfoundland. Once upon a time he was a PhD candidate inpolitical science, writing a dissertation about affect theory and the Canadianmuseum of history. He has since quit grad school to write for money.
