This is William & Lauren Co - Lauren Warkentine
On this episode I chatted with Lauren about her story, her business, growing up in an entrepreneurial family and everything that leads to owning a men's an women's custom suit making company here in OKC. Lauren Warkentine founded William & Lauren in 2015 with the idea that personal style and self-confidence go hand-in-hand. With the commission to “take risks and tackle life,” W&L seeks to travel alongside people in their individual “style-quests,” uncovering what they like and what speaks to them. With this newfound style and confidence, we want those who wear W&L to confidently carry themselves into the interview, the presentation, the first date, the trial, the new job. The idea started from a simple problem: Ill-fitting suits on men who believed they had no other options. More specifically, these men thought that they could not find a suit that would fit them perfectly, and if so, they believed that they couldn’t afford it. W&L accepted the challenge to create affordable, high-quality options with the notion that men shouldn’t have to choose between affordability and fit. Follow on instagram www.instagram.com/williamlaurencoFollow Lauren here www.instagram.com/lowarkor go to www.williamandlauren.com #thisisoklahoma

This is Lovera's - Handcrafting Italian Foods Since 1946
On this episode I chatted with Dominica Lovera about her families history. Coming to America from Italy in 1910 to now having one of the best cheese and meat markets in the country. Award winning! "At Lovera's, our focus has always been on quality. Each of our products is crafted with thought and consideration and with the desire and passion to bring quality Italian foods to the tables of each of our customers. For over 60 years, our family has been making and selling hand-crafted Italian foods. We settled in 1907, bringing family recipes and the distinct flavors from the mountains of Piemonte to the plains of Oklahoma, and we are still family owned and operated to this day. We are proud of how our little store has evolved, and how we have paid homage to our ancestors by pairing old family recipes with new age techniques. Our shelves are stocked with award-winning cheeses, sausages, and some of the world's best olives, antipasti, olive oils, vinegars, and other Italian imports. We hope we can offer you something that brings your family and friends together, that provides laughter and love, and reminds you what family dinners are all about.  Dalla nostra famiglia alla vostra. This is Okie Dough - Dhea Hudson
I had the opportunity this week to chat with Dhea Hudson owner of Okie Dough. Dhea has a great story. A lifetime educator and wife to a high school football coach. Dhea has spent her life around kids, as a teacher and now school councilor in Owasso Oklahoma. Dhea and her family would cook for the football players and   of course would bake cookies. Well you know how impatient hungry boys can be. They started digging into the cookie dough and BOOM. The idea struct Dhea, why can't I make cookie dough without eggs? After some trial and error the first recipe was complete. Chocolate Chip. 8 months later Okie Dough was in the Chesapeake Arena candy stands and quickly becoming one of the most popular items. This started a rapid journey of entrepreneurship for Dhea, her husband and their brother and sister in law as new business partners. Dhea and her husband still teach in Owasso and pour their hearts into the kids but Okie Dough is taking off on a path of its own and they are here for it. "We make an edible cookie dough (no eggs). We are in the Chesapeake at all events, Cox Center and on Campus at OU and OSU….. Plus a few stores in the Tulsa area. I am an educator turned dough maker!"Go follow them on social media www.instagram.com/okie_dough online here www.okiedoughlicious.comThis podcast is made possible by the Made in Oklahoma Program.
