Hey, y’all, welcome back to "This is for Us." I’m thrilled you're here, especially as we dive into a topic very close to my heart—relationships. Today, I want to share some insights into my own relationship with my husband, Alan Coley, affectionately known as AC. Link to FREE Quote Journal: Quote Journal Follow me on Instagram here: Noel Roberts Coley Instagram Drop a note on my website: https://noelrobertscoley.com/ Seven Years with AC Alan and I recently celebrated our seventh anniversary together. It’s been a whirlwind of emotions and experiences that truly feel like we’ve lived multiple lifetimes together. Like many couples, we’ve had to fit celebrations around busy schedules, which makes them all the more meaningful. This year, we decided to celebrate with dinner from our favorite spot, Cancun, which has been a significant backdrop to our relationship, from our first date to our wedding. The Realities of Our Relationship During a recent car ride, a conversation with a friend made me reflect deeply on our relationship. She mentioned that how Alan and I look at each other made her realize what was missing in her relationship. This struck a chord with me, reminding me of the times I compared our relationship to the seemingly perfect ones I saw on social media. The Challenges Behind Closed Doors Many don’t see the challenges we've faced—intense arguments, breaks, and the immense effort we've both put in to grow together. Relationships aren’t formed or sustained on effortless perfection; they are built through hard work, commitment, and a willingness to grow together. Growth Through Struggle I shared with my friend that every relationship, even those that seem perfect from the outside, has its struggles. These challenges are not just obstacles but opportunities for growth. Alan and I have learned to navigate these by constantly communicating, understanding each other's perspectives, and being willing to adapt. Choosing to Fight for Love In today’s world, where ending relationships can seem as easy as swiping on an app, it’s important to remember the value of perseverance. True love isn’t about constant happiness and ease but about fighting through difficult times together, learning, and growing in the process. Reflecting on What Makes a Soulmate A soulmate is not perfect but willing to go through the hardest times with you, someone who chooses to grow and adapt to be better for each other. Alan and I have worked through our differences and challenges by committing to better ourselves and our relationship day by day. Conclusion If you’re in a relationship and facing challenges, remember that the difficult times are as much a part of the journey as the joyful ones. It’s not about finding a perfect person but building a real, lasting connection with someone ready to face life’s ups and downs with you. Embrace the messiness and the beauty of relationships, and remember, every struggle is a step towards a stronger bond. Thank you for joining me today. If you’ve resonated with this episode or know someone who might, feel free to share it. I’m here to continue these conversations and support you through your journey in love and life. Remember, you're not alone in the highs and lows. Until next time, take care and keep nurturing your relationships with love, patience, and understanding. Until next time, take care and keep cherishing those around you. Remember, we're in this together, and through sharing our stories, we find common ground and healing because This Is For Us. Hey, y’all, welcome back to "This is for Us." I’m thrilled you're joining me today, especially as we dive into a topic close to my heart—embracing life's transitions. This episode is inspired by my recent interactions with the University of Tennessee cheerleaders and my high school seniors at Diamonds All-Stars, who are facing the daunting uncertainty of graduation and the next steps in their lives. Use code: NOELCOLEY for a 15% discount on Clear Stem Products Link to FREE Quote Journal Follow me on Instagram here: Noel Roberts Coley Instagram Drop a note on my website: https://noelrobertscoley.com/ Life at a Crossroads During a team dinner with the Tennessee cheerleaders, we discussed their upcoming graduations and the mix of excitement and fear that comes with such a pivotal moment. It struck me how these feelings resonate with students and anyone facing significant life changes. The fear of the unknown can be overwhelming, whether it's the end of college, a career change, or any major transition. The Universal Experience of Uncertainty What’s fascinating is seeing how these young adults at different stages—college and high school—are experiencing similar fears. The college seniors, now comfortable in their environment, face the anxiety of leaving that comfort behind, much like they did four years ago when graduating from high school. This cycle of comfort and transition is a recurring theme in all our lives. Reflecting on Personal Journeys Reflecting on my own graduation day, I remember feeling lost and terrified, unsure of what came next. That moment on my couch post-graduation was a low point, filled with uncertainty about my future direction. Many of us share this feeling at various points in our lives, whether triggered by educational transitions, career changes, or personal developments. Lessons in the ‘In-Between’ The ‘in-between’—those periods of transition from one chapter of our lives to the next—are incredibly challenging yet essential for growth. These moments force us to evaluate who we are beyond our roles and achievements. They compel us to consider our deeper identity, independent of external validations like our job titles, educational status, or social roles. Embracing Change with Confidence It’s crucial to remind ourselves that we are never truly stuck. Life is a series of choices and opportunities for change. If a job, relationship, or path no longer serves us, we have the power to pivot, to make new choices, and forge new paths. Understanding this can alleviate the fear associated with big decisions and transitions. The Power of Self-Knowledge Preparing for life’s inevitable transitions starts with a deep understanding of oneself. Knowing who you are, what you value, and what brings you joy can provide stability when external circumstances change. It’s about building a strong foundation within, so when the external structures shift, you’re ready and resilient. You are More Than Your Circumstances Ultimately, each of us is more than the sum of our circumstances. We are not defined by our schools, jobs, or relationships. These aspects contribute to our experiences but do not determine our worth or our potential for happiness. Remembering this can free us from the fear of change and empower us to take bold steps toward our true desires. Conclusion To all the graduating seniors and anyone stepping into a new phase of life, remember: You are capable and resilient. Change is not just an end but a beginning—new adventures, challenges, and joys await. Embrace these transitions with open arms and an open heart, trusting in your ability to navigate the path ahead. Thank you for sharing this time with me. Whether you’re a student stepping into a new chapter or someone else navigating your own transitions, I hope this episode brings you comfort and confidence. Let’s keep supporting each other, and remember, this podcast and our community are here for you. Here’s to embracing change and facing the future with excitement and courage. I can’t wait to see where life takes you next! Until next time, take care and keep cherishing those around you. Remember, we're in this together, and through sharing our stories, we find common ground and healing because This Is For Us. I hope you love this episode xoxo

Hello, y'all! Welcome back to "This Is for Us," the space where we come together as a community of friends to share, learn, and grow. I’m genuinely thrilled and grateful to have you here, joining me in another episode where we dive deep into real, raw conversations about life. Link to FREE Quote Journal - Quote Journal Follow me on Instagram here: Noel Roberts Coley Instagram Drop a note on my website https://noelrobertscoley.com/ Reflecting on Personal Struggles Lately, I've felt the weight of the world on my shoulders, something I've shared in previous episodes. Despite my best efforts to stay positive, I've been struggling with feelings of negativity and doubt due to difficult professional dynamics. I’ve felt overwhelmed by the harsh judgments and expectations of others, which has led me to question my worth and path. The Impact of Negativity It's human nature to let outside opinions impact us, and despite my efforts to keep a positive outlook, I've found myself succumbing to the negativity. This has been a cycle of self-doubt and sadness, fed by the harshness of a few, which I mistakenly allowed to overshadow the many positive aspects of my life. A Weekend of Revelation This past weekend, I experienced what I call a "Jesus wink" – a moment of clarity and reminder of the good surrounding me. Initially overshadowed by negativity, the weekend evolved into a profound reminder of all the beauty in my life. I realized how much I had let a small group's negativity cloud my perception of the overwhelming support and love I actually received. The Eagle's Lesson In seeking guidance and reassurance, I stumbled upon a story that perfectly encapsulated my situation: the tale of the eagle and the crow. The eagle doesn't take offense or even acknowledge the annoyance when a pecking crow is harassing it. Instead, it simply flies higher, reaching altitudes where the crow can no longer survive. This story hit home for me, symbolizing the power of rising above the fray and letting negativity fall away on its own. Embracing the Positives Reflecting on this, I've decided to shift my focus back to the positives, the 'roses' among the 'thorns.' It’s easy to get caught up in the few negatives and overlook the abundance of good in our lives. This realization reignited my appreciation for everything I have and reminded me of the importance of focusing on the positive, no matter how loud the negatives seem. Moving Forward with Gratitude I want to encourage each of you to look around and appreciate the 'roses' in your own lives. Recognize the people who uplift you, the successes, big and small, and the quiet joys that fill your days. Let’s rise like the eagle, higher and higher until the negativity can no longer reach us. Conclusion Thank you for joining me on this journey of reflection and rediscovery. I hope this episode serves as a reminder to focus on the positive, to rise above the challenges, and to embrace the love and light in your lives. Remember, we are all in this together, building a community where we support and uplift each other. I love you all and look forward to our continued journey together. Here's to rising above and letting our lights shine bright, unobstructed by the crows of the world.

Link to FREE Quote Journal - Quote Journal Follow me on Instagram here: Noel Roberts Coley Instagram Drop a note on my website https://noelrobertscoley.com/ It's funny how often I find myself thinking about you all. Whether I'm at my kitchen table, doing my makeup, or driving somewhere, you're on my mind. I constantly wonder about our similarities and differences and if you're feeling the same things I am. Recently, I've been feeling a bit "blah" for no particular reason. Sleep hasn't been great, and I've been in a weird mood. It made me think—maybe some of you also feel this way. So, let's talk about shaking off that dreariness and sparking joy in our everyday lives. Normalizing the "Blah" Days First off, it's totally normal to have days where you're just not feeling it, even if nothing is explicitly wrong. You're going through the motions but not really feeling excited about anything. It's during these times we need to give ourselves a little push to find happiness in the ordinary. Simple Joys to Brighten Your Day When I need to lift my spirits, I think about the little things that bring me joy. Here's what I suggest: HomeGoods Happiness: A quick trip to HomeGoods can do wonders. It could be something cute or a hint of spring decor. It's about finding joy in the little things. Music and Movement: Ask Alexa to play your favorite tunes, set a timer for 15 minutes, and tackle a small task like folding laundry or decluttering a space. Dance around if the mood strikes! Get Out and About: Whether it's grabbing your favorite coffee, taking a brisk walk, or treating yourself to a pedicure, do something that gets you out of the house and breaks the routine. Connect with Loved Ones: Reach out to a friend who lights up your life. Grab a quick bite, share a margarita, or just scroll through TikTok together. It's about being with someone who makes you happy. Date Yourself: Sometimes, treating yourself to a cheeseburger or sitting in a cafe with a book is all you need. Remind yourself of your worth and all the amazing things you're doing. Motivation to Move Forward We all have those moments where we're too hard on ourselves—critiquing our appearance, doubting our capabilities, or just feeling rundown. It's crucial, especially on these days, to do something that makes us smile and reminds us of the joy in living. After sharing these thoughts with you, I'm motivated to tackle some of those "blah" feelings myself—starting with finally washing my hair and maybe even decluttering a bit. I hope this episode encourages you to find your own little ways to lift your spirits and rediscover the excitement in everyday life. Thank you for sharing this time with me, and for being part of this ongoing conversation about life, love, and growth. If today’s discussions sparked a thought, a question, or a story you’d like to share, don’t hesitate to reach out. And if the idea of a retreat where we can connect, unwind, and grow together excites you, drop me a message with the word "retreat." I’m buzzing with excitement at the thought of bringing this dream to life.

This week, I decided to do something a bit different. Inspired by the questions you've sent through my website and Instagram DMs, I'm answering three of them that struck a chord with me. Your privacy is paramount, so rest assured, that all questions are presented anonymously. Link to FREE Quote Journal - Quote Journal Follow me on Instagram here: Noel Roberts Coley Instagram Drop a note on my website https://noelrobertscoley.com/ Now, let’s dive into your questions. Navigating High School as an OutsiderThe first question comes from a 16-year-old feeling out of place in a small-town high school. Facing mockery and isolation, they ponder the idea of homeschooling as an escape. My heart goes out to you. Being targeted for being different is painful, but it’s crucial to remember your worth and potential. Homeschooling is an option, but consider it for the right reasons. Explore avenues within your school to connect with like-minded individuals or groups that appreciate you for who you are. Remember, true friends will embrace your uniqueness, not scorn it. A Single Mom’s Creative Crossroads A 37-year-old single mother shared her struggle with juggling a draining job while yearning to pursue her creative talents. To you, I say: your resilience and dedication to providing for your family already set a magnificent example for your daughter. To transition into a more fulfilling career, start small. Channel your talents into a side project or hobby that could evolve into a business. Every small step forward on this journey will bring you closer to living your dreams, proving to your daughter that it’s never too late to chase what truly makes you happy. Growing Apart in a Relationship The last question for today addresses personal growth and its impact on a relationship. A listener finds herself evolving, pursuing new goals and interests, which has created a rift with her boyfriend who longs for the person she was in college. Open, honest communication is key here. Share your feelings, aspirations, and desire for him to grow alongside you. If he’s the right partner, he’ll want to share in your journey, not hold you back. Remember, it’s okay to outgrow relationships that no longer align with your path. These questions reflect just a fraction of the diverse experiences and challenges we face in our journey through life. By sharing and discussing them, we seek answers and remind ourselves of the strength and support found within our community. Thank you for sharing this time with me, for being part of this ongoing conversation about life, love, and growth. Until next time, take care and keep cherishing those around you. Hello, y'all! Welcome back to "This Is For Us," where authenticity and heartfelt conversations pave the way for our journey together. Today's episode ventures into a realm that's deeply personal yet universally resonant: navigating the complexities of grief and loss, alongside the unexpected beauty that can emerge from our darkest times. As we explore the profound contrasts of life, remember, everything shared comes from a place of truth and experience, hoping to reach someone who needs to hear it. Link to FREE Quote Journal - Quote Journal Follow me on Instagram here: Noel Roberts Coley Instagram The Journey Through Grief The loss of my father-in-law recently shook my world and left me speechless. This experience has reminded me of the importance of embracing our feelings, of truly living through our grief rather than bypassing it. It's a path that promises healing, albeit through pain. Finding Support in Sorrow In these dark times, the support and love from friends and the community have been a beacon of light. It's reminded me that even in our lowest moments, connections and shared kindness can bring solace and strength. Acts of Kindness and Connection This episode serves as a reminder to reach out, to be that source of support for someone else. Whether it’s a call, a message, or a simple gesture, your act of kindness can be a lifeline for someone struggling in silence. Cherish Every Moment Life’s fleeting nature teaches us to hold our loved ones close, to express love and gratitude openly, and not to take any moment for granted. Let’s make every interaction count, remembering that everyone carries their own hidden battles. In Conclusion Though today’s topic comes from a place of loss, it’s also about finding hope, strength, and renewal on the other side of grief. Thank you for walking this path with me, for being a part of our community, where realness and compassion are at the heart of our conversations. Until next time, take care and keep cherishing those around you. Remember, we're in this together, and through sharing our stories, we find common ground and healing because This Is For Us.
