Young people are heavily impacted by Gender-based violence which, is deeply rooted in the unequal power dynamics between genders.
The consequences of gender-based violence extend beyond immediate physical harm, often leading to long-lasting emotional trauma and hindering personal and inter-personal development and the ability to fully participate in the socio-economic sphere.

The panelists, frankly narrate personal anecdotes of unhealthy relationships as well as verbal and emotional abuse. They stress the importance of educating both young men and women on respect and consent. They detailed action points to mitigate violence including; male-focused programs from a young age, reporting inappropriate comments, behaviour and abuse on digital platforms.
They believe Gender Based Violence (GBV) is learned behaviour which can be addressed through education and a mindset shift which, does not normalise any form of violence.
