Missing a Good Show
I was a longtime Morning Brew fan before listening to Kinsey here. Not sure why this show stopped but I always enjoyed listening to Kinsey even if I didn’t agree with everything she said. I loved her interview skills. Good luck whatever you’re up to now Kinsey!

Long time listener
I started following Kinsey when she was at Morning Brew and loved her work. I’m happy to see she has her own podcast now and I love the episodes. Each one is better than the last. Keep up the great content, Kinsey!! 👍🏻

Too much wokeness and virtue signaling for me
I’m a longtime Morning Brew reader which is how I discovered Kinsey years ago. Mostly enjoyed the Business Casual podcast when she hosted it. Admittedly, I’m a conservative. But I do enjoy listening to opposing viewpoints of smart people (like Kinsey). However, the awful philosophy forming her popularly woke takes is unbearable, I can’t do it anymore. Morning Brew is turning into the same thing though. Modernism is a plague. Good luck.

Not smart or trashy - but in between
Just kinda…elementary. The woke part I can get past as that’s every podcaster now. But the bad takes and boring topics and delivery, I cannot.
What’s the point?

Too Far Left
I consider myself pretty liberal but this podcast has gone too far left for my liking. This really hit home when Kinsey mentioned eliminating the mortgage interest deduction on her most recent episode. As a tax CPA who spent a few years preparing tax returns and as someone who just bought their first home at 26, this is a tax deduction that helps so many more people than just the ultra wealthy. A lot of my clients used this and they were making less than 100k a year and that deduction allowed them to save some money on taxes. Yes the tax code needs to be reformed and the rich need to pay more, but that would make taxes for anyone that owns a home (including me) pay more in taxes when the tax increases should be focused further up the chain.
Best of luck Kinsey, please do proper research before making large scale claims like that. There are much more effective ways to target ultra wealthy people to pay more in tax as opposed to doing a broad scale approach that would impact those earning less than 100k a year (such as me).

Wanted to like this show. Really did.
Huge fan of Business Casual and was interested to try a few epiosdes of Ms. Grant's new show. As others have said, it's just not there yet. Wish her well, but it really seems like she hasn't quite found her footing with this podcast.

Wanted to like it
Early Kinsey as an interviewer was so good with Morning Brew. She was well-researched and the dialogue had a great flow, even with guests that pushed back on her questions (Kara Swisher).
I listened to about 5 episodes of this podcast before reviewing and it’s not for me. Both content and style miss the mark. Transparency does not equal authenticity.
Examples:
-Bragging about buying a billionaire a drink at a “non-work” outing while you also don’t think that person should exist in current form.
-Aspiring to be a business version of Call Her Daddy, sliding into Dave & Erika’s DMs and then virtue signaling that you couldn’t morally work for Barstool.
-Having a father who was a Congressman, getting a big break with a startup (Brew) then dumping on both our (admittedly deeply flawed) political and financial systems and attributing your accomplishments to privilege.
I’ll give it another try down the road if the format changes and Kinsey goes back into her deep dive interviews with interesting guests around topical issues. But this format of Kinsey at the center of every story with a quasi-advocacy take while still trying to partially “think about the other side” is not for me. I wish her the absolute best and applaud her for trying this out.

Absolutely inspiring!
Every minute of every episode has been effortlessly engaging, thorough, well-researched and relatable. Kinsey is vibrant and progressive. She doesn’t shrink away from calling out individuals, companies, industries, etc. and there’s no doubt her voice will inspire insightful conversations and command meaningful change. Can’t wait for the next episode!

Cool topics, but hard to get thru
I wanted to like this podcast. Have listened to Kinsey since business casual, and was excited for her to do her own project. The episode topics are super intriguing (I loved the porn & climate change discussions) but the format is hard to sit through. It is a very scripted monologue, which for me doesn’t come off well as a pod. Others might enjoy that but I prefer conversations or interviews; if I want long form journalism I can read it. Also Kinsey is clearly trying to develop her persona, somewhere between woke millennial journalist and hot girl influencer. To me it comes off as inauthentic and at times awkward, and it undermines her authority on the topics (which is already questionable at best, no offense). If you like Kinsey and want to hear her opinions, you’ll like this. Otherwise it’s a pass

Stimulating, Entertaining, and Honest
It is clear that competing business podcasts—struggle as they might—fail to strike the balance between stimulating and entertaining that Kinsey so effortlessly does. A true personality in her own right, Kinsey is funny, relatable, honest, empathetic, and smart. I love seeing a woman, like Kinsey, succeed in this field. I should add, however, that I most appreciate when Kinsey integrates hard facts and statistics of the market or industry that she’s covering, as well as exclusive insights, into her podcasts. She does provide a lot of said research and insider takes but perhaps because I am quite the quantitative person, I would love to hear even more of that context woven into her engaging opinions. Loved business casual (it isn’t the same anymore) and love this new endeavor as well!
