It's a lighthearted story of three film start in Hollywood in the late 1920s, caught up in the transition from silent films to "talkies".

The musical opened to almost unanimous critical acclaim in Londons West end,  even though it features some potentially controversial source material. The film adaptation was released in 2015 and  features Tom Hardy and Olivia Colman!

But This is a stage and screen musical with a book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.
