This week join us for the first episode into Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka - otherwise known as the Ken and Barbie killers! This will be a three parter, as there is so much to cover and we wanted to do it justice, so it's a proper deep dive! It's really rough going - as anyone who knows the case will know, it is horrific. Paul and Karla were responsible for the deaths and torture of three teenager girls: Karla's own sister Tammy, as well as Leslie Mahaffy and Kristen French. Paul also committed a horrendous number of rapes as the Scarborough Rapist. Sadly in the end, justice isn't served, as only one of these monsters gets put away for life... Trigger Warning for this episode - there is a lot of rapes and sexual assaults covered from Paul's crimes as the Scarborough Rapist, which are particularly brutal in nature. There is also assaults on children mentioned.

This is a local case which happened just a few miles from where Becca lived at the time so it's one she remembers well. The prevalence of mental health issues in it struck a cord for her and Elle. Trigger warning for discussions of mental illness symptoms and behaviour. This week Becca discusses the case of Peter Wrighton. In August 2017 the pensioner, Peter, was walking his beloved dogs when his life was ended in a vicious attack. The man responsible, Alexander Palmer, had a history of extreme mental health disorders and had gone unhelped by medical services despite his issues being reported multiple times.
