The point of life.
I've spent a ridiculous amount of time thinking about this question. What is the point of the Christian life? Many in the church will quickly answer- "to give God glory". What does that mean? How do we bring God the most glory? Today I dive into this question, tell you why the term Christian Hedonism has been blowing my mind, and give you a few points from the book Pleasures Evermore by Sam Storms. True or False: “The purpose of life is to glorify God, not to be happy” --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/hannahnitz/message

Engaging in the presence of God.
What if one of the secrets to experiencing more of God is all about His presence? Noelle Beck is with us today talking about her alone time with God, and how our focus should be more on God's PRESENCE and less on our DOING.  Psalm 16:11 ESV You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/hannahnitz/message

We make room.
Could talking about the tabernacle possibly get you excited to spend more time with God? We are about to find out! I heard a quote from Marty Solomon when he was teaching on the tabernacle that says “I believe there is an indirect promise that if we create the space for God, He will fill it.” Let's talk about what that looks like! God's ways vs. God's acts
A thought that I've been trying to figure out: “Its possible to know a lot about God, but not know God”. What's the difference? Why does this matter? I talk about the difference laid out in Pslam 103:7 between God's ways and God's acts, and the invitation we have to KNOW our creator.  Send me a video message with your thoughts and I will respond! My dad and your strength.
Summarizing the last year is hard- the birth of my daughter and the death of my dad seem too much for just 12 months to hold. But in the midst of mourning, God taught me a beauty of loving him "with all my strength", and how that was exemplified in my father.  My dad's website- thesteverybka.com Java with Juli - Podcast Series on "God, Sex, and Your Marriage" The Grandfather Effect by Brian Dahlen  --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/hannahnitz/message

Shalom for you.
While reading in Psalms I found the sentence "Great is the Lord who delights int he welfare of his servant". The idea of God delighting in my welfare felt... weird? confusing? As I started to look more into this verse I found a great treasure- that the word welfare in the original Hebrew is actually "Shalom". Turns out God's Shalom is pretty incredible, and learning more about it has impact so much in my every day life. Very very very dependent.
“Jesus is, without question, the most dependent human being that ever lived” What do you think about that quote? Could it be true? Join me as we walk through the book of John and look at Jesus' dependence, and then talk about what in the world we are supposed to do with that. How can we be dependent? What does that look like? And how is it connected to "more" of God? --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/hannahnitz/message
