Moving forward from last week's analysis of his early military environment, we continue digging directly into the primary-source reality of Chapter 37.Recap & Deconstruction of North Carolina KKK & Cowardly Racist Violence:Last week, Williams described the hypocrisy and cowardice of black males insisting upon "nonviolent" approaches to dealing with White people, when black people are regularly violent with each other. "Many Black men concealed their unmanly timidity in a newly adorned cloak of pacifism. They had instantly developed split personalities. Black men who never hesitated to use violence against other Black men, and even against their women and children, suddenly started to preach of the glorious virtue and power of nonviolence and love" #100We also heard about the cowardly behavior of the Klu Klux Klan. The Racists would call the Williams' household all throughout the night - making menacing, terrorist threats. Then when Williams located the source of the threatening calls and confronted the White Supremacists directly, they turned "yellow" and declined any sort of direct confrontation.Williams also told us about how unjust networking from White Supremacists made it impossible for him to secure employment. Some of the local Victims of Racism pitched in to give him $2 per week to "make ends meet." Williams also details being chastised by NAACP officials to desist from making contact with people born in or associated with area known as Cuba.
