Hey there! This week’s tea talk is made up of maracuyá-hibiscus tea from Té La Teresita in a Hard Rock Lyon mug. In my life update, I talk about my spring break, family, occupations, and stress for the future. I introduce the concept of feeling included with anecdotes, reflections, and the structure for the episode. Firstly, I build the idea of having to fight for your space: speaking up, defying those who underestimate you, and feeling entitled to pitch in. Secondly, I explain the impact of the narrative you tell yourself: how people express acceptance differently, how you have to think about what people can bring to you, and understanding that there’s no “contract”. Thirdly, I try to trace back why I care so much about having a community: is it because of the media? Is it because that represents quality of life to me? Is it because life is more enjoyable around others? Finally, I wrap up with some takeaways, and my favourites in TikTokers, playlists, and electronic devices before signing off.
