= “In response to all of this toxicity, I think it’s just a matter of setting boundaries”
= “No one person will occupy 100% of your attention”

Hey there! This week I begin with my tea talk (Apple-cinnamon tea in a Little Prince mug) and a life update about everything I’ve been up to, I introduce the topic of toxic friendships by saying why I want to talk about it, my goal, and a disclaimer. I begin by sustaining that we’re all a bit toxic: it’s human nature, so we need to set boundaries, and understand md when these tendencies can be unleashed. Then, I explore why toxic friendships are necessary: they keep us humble, remind us not to idealise people, teach us how to cope, acknowledge how draining they can be, and make a distinction of when they cross the line. Lastly, I share my favourite coping strategies (venting, speaking up, setting distance, and journaling), but take into account the role of insecurity. I wrap up with some main takeaways and share my favourite show, song, and Instagram filter.
